Great space! The shared kitchen is quite wide and complete. The hotel is very well located, close to the beach and to several good restaurants. Natália is very helpful and friendly.

It's better than how it's shown in pictures! The place is very quiet and relaxing! The attention of the super friendly staff especially Flory! We went with the pets and they were super well received to a bed they gave us for them, the view and the sunset from the place is amazing The cool pool and green area surroundings you need to rest

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

We had the best 7 nights here. The location is great, just off the main road so it felt secluded yet only 5 minutes to all the restaurants. All the staff, Oli and Emilie were so nice and helpful. Our room was large and had everything we needed. We recommend having their breakfast, it’s great value and good! We felt relaxed throughout, and there is a nice social area by the pool where me made friends with other guests. A nice community feel. We honestly loved it and would like to come again and bring friends. We also adored Emma, their wonderful calm dog ha!

Claudine is a sweet soul. She was very kind. She met us outside of the property as we arrived after dark. She showed us to our room. She invited us to breakfast in the am and we took her up on it. Such a beautiful setting and yummy breakfast she prepared. We loved the place and Claudine! Great stay!

We spent a few nights at Ecocoon, and wow, what an unforgettable experience. Marina and Karl, the hosts, are incredibly kind and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home, just surrounded by pure nature, with monkeys, squirrels, and colorful birds all around. 🐒🦜 The place itself is truly unique. Everything is built creatively and with so much love. What they’ve managed to create here in just four years is honestly impressive. The vibe is peaceful, grounded, and full of thoughtful details. You can relax in the sauna, take a refreshing ice bath, or chill out in one of the many cozy spots. My personal favorite was the net under the swing, I could lie there for hours just listening to the jungle sounds. Our room was right next to the pool, super clean and spacious. The staff were really friendly, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Overall a place I would definitely would came back to!

Great spot right on the water. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. There is a pleasant restaurant on site, steps from the ocean. They also had a DJ, and apparently lively night life. The cabins were private and peaceful, situated to eliminate any disturbances . The host was helpful, responsive and gave us a great restaurant recommendation to prepare the fish we caught on a morning charter. The beach out front is in the running for the best beach in Costa Rica.

For us it was a perfect little get away. I was actually more then we thought. We had gotten into town a little later then planned and stopped for a wonderful impromtu dinner and the hosts were most gracious with our late arrival. The place was like a dream. I felt like we woke up in another world, the pool was so perfect (and warm in the evening)... and to float and hear the waves is truly magical. The rooms are the perfect touch of modern and simple and the outdoor shower was delightful. I didnt realize breakfast was included, so that sweet buffet was such a treat. We were there less then 12 hrs due to work, but will definitely return. Its a wonderful little spot. Felicidades

Joelle and Simon are the friendliest host I’ve ever come across . Down to earth people and very welcoming. Conveniently located near many restaurants and very close to the beaches . We saw two howler monkeys hanging out on one of the trees above the pool . It was so awesome . If we ever come back to avellanas , we will definitely stay again .

It is a beautiful place, well located just at the entrance of Samara, close to the beach and every shop. The room was nice and the shared kitchen well kept, the garden is peaceful and I liked watching the humminbirds! Daniela was accommodating and thoughtful, would definitely like to come back!

This was a beautiful home and will definitely book again! Home looks exactly as it does in pictures. The hosts were very helpful, friendly responded very quickly to any questions we had and were super accommodating! They helped us book our excursions and everything went smoothly. We felt right at home here and didn’t want to leave but we had to lol . Great option for a stay in La Fortuna, Costa Rica.

We stayed at the Fenix last week and had a wonderful stay. Lorena and Kim both made it feel so peaceful. After a long two days of travel, I felt relaxed the moment we were greeted. The only downside was having to leave and not booking a longer stay. We've already recommended to family to stay at the Fenix, it was my favorite spot during our trip to Costa Rica.

this place is amazing and easy to find. it has all your basic necessities and the bed is the best. after a long day of exploring lying down in their bed is so soft you just sink in. great place for cutting cost in an expensive country.

Mercedes was an incredibly sweet and helpful host, she made us feel right at home from the start. The place itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with the sounds of wildlife adding to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s about a 15-minute drive from La Fortuna, and most tours will pick you up directly from the Airbnb, making it super convenient. If you’re looking for a stress-free stay near La Fortuna, I highly recommend this place!

Raf and his lovely mother were so friendly and welcoming. Being long time locals he was amazing at offering the best places to hit. We experienced beautiful, peaceful beaches, and beaches that are best for surfing. We would absolutely stay here again!! Also, the tres gatos were so friendly and the cherry on top of the whole stay.

A very beautiful place where you can enjoy the beach, pool, view of deer in their habitat, macaws, raccoons, congos, etc. In addition to a supermarket just two minutes away and a good restaurant 10 minutes' walk away, the room is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
