Beautiful Cabin in Red Lick Valley

We loved our stay on the farm! The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids were thrilled with all the animals and especially enjoyed visits from the friendly Great Pyrenees dogs. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t smell like a farm at all! Sandy and Martin were so friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. We also bought some of the farm’s sausage, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a unique and enjoyable experience!

Lakefront property - Higher Ground

While this house is not particularly close to bourbon tastings, the size of the house and quiet neighborhood ensured we were well rested for the next day’s adventure. About 40 minutes from Lexington and 90 minutes from Louisville, we spent a lot of time driving between destinations. The house itself was well equipped for our party of six. Plenty of space for each person’s privacy and large common areas that allowed everyone to eat and drink together. We were unable to enjoy the water below due to recent flooding.

Bluegrass Getaway

This was a delightful place, one of my best stays. The interior seemed newly refurbished. It was bright and inviting, with nice decor. The couch was comfortable and clean, and the blankets seemed clean as well. As far as tv's go, there is a huge tv in each room - unheard-of! It is in a very, very quiet neighborhood., and it was nice to walk out the door and hear birds chirping. Check-in was a breeze and the hosts texted at the beginning, middle and end of our stay just to make sure we didn't need anything. All-in-all, great experience!

Water & Electric Campsite #1

HomeGrown HideAway's was one of the most peaceful and beautiful settings I have ever stayed. The large creek that runs right beside the RV spots was absolutely gorgeous and the sound lulled me to sleep each night. I hiked the trail around the property and, while very steep, had lovely views and the peace was intoxicating. I heard almost no traffic noise while I was there. The owners are lovely and friendly, and the main building with a public kitchen was absolutely gorgeous with handicap-accessible bathrooms, large refrigerators, coffee and tea available. Too many lovely things to mention!

A Happy Place Cabin with magical views!

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Highly recommend! We had a great relaxing/ peaceful time. Our dog enjoyed the outdoors and space. You gotta wake up for the sunrise, Amy was right, it is magical. Berea is cute as well and good restaurants nearby. If you need more chain like restaurants you got Richmond nearby and an hour away Lexington. This spot was private. Lovely cabin with TV and board games. We went when it was a bit chilly at night time which we enjoyed because felt like camping, the place has space heaters and plenty of quilt blankets(we are hot natured so it was perfect). We loved leaving the door open with the screen door closed to let wind in and hearing the birds in the morning was beautiful. We saw the majestic horses and even heard some cows. At first the directions to get to the place was interesting if you are trying to find it on GPS but if you just drive and trust what Amy says you will find it. I did see reviews of bees and I was hoping to miss them which we did except for checkout day which was warmer
