Soft buttermilk walls blend with cool aqua and bold shades of blue. This studio has a cute porch as you approach the property. It has been completely redecorated and has a fun bright and airy feel that is distinctly Newport. This apartment has comfortable living space along with a quaint kitchen that will make your stay comfortable. Enjoy the new furnishings of a large sofa, chair and comfortable queen size bed make this place your private getaway just steps from all the action. This apartment has a state of the art cooling and heating system. Full cable TV is provided to peek in on your favorite team or catch the news of the day. A gas grill is provided just outside the door. The property also has a larger multi level two bedroom apartment on the other side for anyone considering larger travel party accommodations. The property has desirable onsite parking and it's own separate rear of the building access. Because the place is extremely busy, we can not accommodate early check-ins/late check-outs. I am very available via text, phone, or email. Please feel free to ask me any question about the property and Newport and the New England area. Put your car keys away as you are in the center of the City by the Sea! Look across the way and see iconic Newport eateries like the Red Parrot & Midtown Oyster Bar. Glance in the other direction and view Historic St Mary's Church, site of President John F Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding. Take a stroll in any direction and breath in the salt air and see the water as you will find fun boutiques, restaurants, and bars and the abundant activities this unique walk-able city has to offer! A few note worthy things to consider. The parking lot is shared with many other surrounding properties and this location has one assigned parking space. This is a huge plus for this amazing location. Extra vehicles are not permitted, however paid options are near by.

Second Floor Retreat in Central Newport

Blue-and-white decor and a recurring nautical theme are sure indicators that this remodeled 1876 house is not far from the sea. Glass doorknobs and a claw-foot tub maintain a vintage vibe, while smart TVs and an updated kitchen offer modern comforts. Rare off-street parking provides safe secure parking for two guest vehicles. Licensed with the City of Newport and inspected by the fire marshall, provides assurance that you're protected. Guests can use up to two tandem parking spots in the driveway, the back stairs up to the second floor deck, the second floor deck (until 10 pm) and of course the front door. I live on the first floor, Im not always home, but I’m always available to answer any questions about the area or the house via text or phone at any time. I try to leave my guests alone to come and go as they please without feeling like they need to interact unless they want to. I’m always happy to say hello, introduce myself and chit chat when I’m home, but I don’t want my guests to feel obligated. The apartment is a little over a mile from the Cliff Walk, and a 5-minute stroll to Newport's trendy Broadway restaurants and shops. It's a mile to the Bowen’s and Bannister's wharf area. Runners will love the route down Bellevue Avenue. Your best bet is to leave your car parked and either walk or use Uber or Lyft to get around, it’s generally cheaper than parking downtown. Parking in Newport is very limited, my approval from the City of Newport is contingent on not allowing guests, or myself park on the street, (many of my neighbors don’t have driveways). If you have two cars, please park one behind the other all the way over on the right side of the driveway. If you pull all the way to the front of the driveway there’s plenty of room. My next door neighbors are close and have children, I ask folks to keep outdoor conversations fairly quiet, and please move in off the deck by 10pm out of respect for my neighbors.

My sweet little house of light is located in a private beach/boating community located on Narragansett Bay. The downstairs apartment is ideal for two. You'll have your own entrance and as much privacy as you'd like. It has a full kitchen, bath, living room, and washer/dryer. The beach is a 1/4 mile shaded walk.
