Cottage holiday rentals in Newark

The home had a beautiful view of the river we saw a bald eagle, blue heron and an osprey. We enjoyed the fire pit ( we did get yelled at by the neighbor next door for too much smoke do beware!). We did not have time for the hot tub but glad it was available.

Beautiful location with stunning views of the bay. Loved morning coffee on the patio, watching the sunrise and relaxing evenings in the hot tub as the sun went down. A very enjoyable weekend with the family.

Sophia's Cottage was what we expected and what we needed, a comfortable and clean space to land after long production days in the area. We booked the place for the great reviews and it's proximity to Tired Hands (though, I had forgotten Tired Hands is closed Mondays/Tuesdays, so we only go to enjoy the food and beer one night of our stay). Wei was proactive and very friendly in communications leading up to our stay and for any questions/needs that arose while we were there. The beds were VERY comfortable, which is more and more rare these days with AirBnB homes.

We booked the place for our son & daughter in law’s wedding night. The cottage is AMAZING! But what really stood out to me was every little detail & special touch Michelle provided to make this such a memorable experience for them! You can feel the coziness & sense of welcome the moment you walk in. Highly recommend this special place if you have the opportunity!

Cute cottage great host only thing is parking is very tricky so if you have a car just know parking is difficult most likely you’ll have to park further from Airbnb and the place is very hilly with narrow streets but other than that heather was great and I recommend a stay here.

Donna's place was so cute and clean. It's small but has everything you could need for a couples getaway! Very dog friendly which is a huge plus for us!!

Cute, comfortable home. Very quiet and scenic, even had a deer stop by for breakfast our first morning there. Home had everything we needed. Sheila made this a great first experience.

Very neat spot, easy parking, easy access, and very walkable. The train right next door was a novel thing, it woke us up at night but we still all enjoyed it. Definitely take advantage of walking the water pathway when here!

Great spot to stay for a weekend, lovely local recommendations for coffee, brunch and restaurants all walking distance. Also a quick uber into downtown!

Great cottage away in the woods! Beautiful views and quiet enough to enjoy all of the birds. Yes there were quite a few spiders but that just comes with being in nature 😉 I really enjoyed the location and Ashley is a great host!

This cottage was lovely and was the perfect getaway for my husband's birthday. The outside area is gorgeous with a fantastic patio in the back and a lovely covered porch area at the front door entrance. There is a river front deck area with a bench, too! The inside of the cottage was neat and tidy and it felt very homey. The king bed was incredibly comfortable and the twin bedroom was super cute although we did not use it. You can walk to the large park right across from the cottage and to the Nauti Goose restaurant easily. Walking to the shops and restaurants on Main Street is totally doable if you are a walker. We enjoyed the walk, but some may prefer to drive the 1 to 2 minutes instead. We were extremely pleased with our entire experience as Tara/Chris was quick to respond to any inquiry both before booking and during our stay. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to stay there again!

Lovely place and just as it was described. Cooked steak and shrimp on the grill one night and everything worked fantastic. Very close to town-ate out at the Altana Rooftop Lounge on Friday night and it was a very nice location downtown. The bed was firm and one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in (on the road) in years. The deck and hot tub facing the creek was perfect Overall a wonderful trip we look forward to coming back Thanks for being a great host!!

My family would absolutely return to this rental. The location was relaxing, peaceful and tranquil. The space itself was very clean and beautifully decorated. I appreciated all of the live plants. We visited the area for an event but we found plenty of places to eat and things to do during our visit. My favorite part was enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning while watching the horses and cows graze right outside the picture window in the main level sitting space. I highly recommend reading the instructions and directions provided by the property manager(s). They described the location, provided pictures to help guide you to the proper driveway, and gave lots of step-by-step details... I still had to ask the family that lives there to help guide us to the appropriate spot- it's really tucked away. This rental is highly recommended; hopefully, you enjoy it as much as we did!

We had a great time on our second visit! We spent the time relaxing, hanging with the friendly animals, and walking around the property. They were also very helpful anytime we needed help or had questions!

Our four days three nights stay at Paradise Cottage was a very special one. The hosts were very welcoming and stood behind what they had offer. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. As a complementary, there were very sweet straberries waiting for us on the kitchen counter and raw milk and brown eggs were also provided. She responded to our question’s without delay. We felt at home because there were utensils and products to use as needed. The main attractions were at a close distance as she had announced. It was a very unique and different experience for us. We are planning come back.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was very helpful, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great location, peaceful neighborhood, and easy check-in. We’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to future guests!

Looking for a quiet, cozy place to stay and avoiding the frenzy while attending our daughter’s graduation from UD, this was a nice find. This is a bucolic setting on an active farm. We very much appreciated their hospitality and the nice “meet and greet” session with some of the four legged residents.

Rented for a girls getaway weekend. Perfect! Walkable to town w fun shops and restaurants . And short drive to other beautiful destinations! Edwin and Traci have an amazing cottage and are great hosts! Will definitely plan a return trip!

Our stay at Raymond’s house was amazing. Super clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable!! Would definitely book again
