A lovingly restored cottage set on the grounds of a private home surrounded by mature landscaped gardens. Your hosts Sean and Carmel are committed to ensure you enjoy your stay. This charming and cosy cottage features all mod cons and is a relaxing home from home experience. Situated just 3 km from the town of New Ross, the area is a haven for those who wish to relax and get away from busy lives. Quiet country lanes and roads surround the property which is within 1.5km of the local pub.
“We loved our stay in the cottage. The location is perfect. Not far away from the cities of Waterford and Wexford, and close to the amazing Hook lighthouse. We cooked our meals in the evening as we were travelling with our baby boy so didn't do much night time exploring. Kitchen is fully equipped and you'll find all you need to prepare yourself a nice meal. We loved the fireplace and the all the little decorations in the house. Also, the mattress is super comfy. Would love to stay here again! Thanks Carmel&Sean!”
Our lovingly restored and converted stone barn. Our aim is for guests to experience a historic and traditional Irish country home, while enjoying the comforts of modern living. We have SKYTV, DVD and WIFI but we can also offer the peace and quiet of the rural Irish countyside. Three double bedrooms compliment a spacious open plan ground floor. With its own grounds and parking, this stone property is on the edge of three counties and perfect for exploring the ancient south east and its coast.
“We enjoyed a lovely stay as four adults and four young kids. The cottage is very spacious and cozy. It is fast fully decorated and bedrooms and comfortable, warm and fresh and clean. The grounds and garden are a delight for us city folk and we enjoyed the swim pool nearby and mannions pub with lovely atmosphere and food. We cooked in the cottage and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this spot. Great hosts and great set up.”
My sister and I live in the house together and have three bedrooms available for guests. Years ago she used to run it as a BnB and we're back at it again! Our garden is well kept and is lovely for a stroll (especially if you're lucky to book on a day with the sun shining).
“We enjoyed staying at Kay's place in New Ross. The location is outside of the main town area and is very quiet. Yet it is only 10 minutes walk to Brandon House Hotel, with all its amenities. Kay is a great communicator and gave us great directions to her home. We felt very welcome there. Kay provides a lovely breakfast of juice, choice of cereals, variety of teas and breads and jams/marmalade. All you need to set you up for the day ahead. I highly recommend staying with Kay during a visit to the South East of Ireland. Thank you, Kay.”
