Kid-friendly holiday rentals in New Caledonia

I stayed at La Maison à Côté near La Tontouta airport with my father and two children in April 2025 for two nights – one at the beginning and one at the end of our vacation in New Caledonia – and we were very satisfied with the experience. The location is ideal if you arrive late or if you take an early flight in the morning: it is only a few minutes from the airport, but you feel completely elsewhere, in a peaceful and comfortable setting. Mickael and Hélène communicated very well with us and were available to answer our questions. The three bedrooms are spacious, clean and warm, and the outdoor bathroom is set up with great care and taste. If you are looking for a relaxing stopover or even a starting point to explore the area, I highly recommend La Maison à Côté. I will return without hesitation on my next visit to New Caledonia.

Need a change of scenery or discover the charming village of Nessadiou…the Big bus is for you. Very faithful to the photos, we were hosted very well. The small downside, the sound volume of the flush and the road passing right in front of the bus...remove a little charm. But I chipote….it's an idyllic place

Super peaceful villa, woken up by birds in the city, it's always great. Well-equipped and in a good location. The rooms are small, but it's for the benefit of the living rooms. We'll be back.

We had a great weekend at Marie's. Everything was perfect and compliant. It is a small haven of peace and quiet, 2 minutes' walk from the beach and the beautiful lagoon of Poé. Kayak and boards are available to make the most of it. With family or friends, we highly recommend it!

Loved my stay at Line and Pascal's! Very responsive and welcoming hosts. The apartment, well equipped and perfectly arranged, is in a peaceful and secure setting! Private parking inside the residence is a real plus! Highly recommend... and most importantly, I'll be back with pleasure!

I stayed at Amélie's studio for two weeks. It is very centrally located, close to public buses. A large supermarket is around 10 min walk away. Everything was as expected.

Very well equipped studio. Everything was as described in the listing (photos, amenities, etc.). Quiet. Stéphanie was very welcoming and available. Well-located studio, 5 minutes from the commercial area and 10 minutes from downtown. Airbnb to keep in mind.

We enjoyed our stay at Rachel's apartment and loved the area. The apartment has all the basics and was comfortable and clean. The location was great, with easy walking access to groceries, shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. We would definitely book again on our next visit!

Our stay here was perfect! The view and the convenience is perfect. The apartment has the main amenities you need on holiday for dining in or for snacks if you’re not on a budget. It’s so convenient having parking available if you decide to hire a car. We became addicted to latalier gourmand (the patisserie a 5 min walk away! ) and pizza and pasta that is in the same complex. We highly recommend staying here. And Romain & Lucy were excellent hosts and very easy to contact . We will definitely be back.

We had a great two day stay at Marie's apartment. The accommodation is clean, well-appointed, quiet and conveniently located, close to beaches and shops. Elisabeth's accommodation is just perfect for short or long stays. The view from the terrace where you can eat is just breathtaking. Elisabeth is a lovely, helpful, caring and available host. I therefore recommend this linen very well located in the Sainte Marie district, a safe and family district with its ideal park for walks.

Amazing views, especially sunsets! We just enjoyed relaxing with a breeze through the suite, but also enjoyed the many nearby restaurants and shoreline walks. This was one of our many AirBnB stays over the years!!
