Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Nagara River

We hebben een fijne tijd gehad in dit appartement. Het is lekker ruim en ligt centraal in Takayama. Alles was erg schoon en netjes.

Stayed as a group of three on a family trip. The building, interior and garden are all lovely, and staying here provides quite a unique experience that you can't get from a regular hotel. It's a few minutes away from a Family Mart, and less than a 10-minute walk from Gojo station. The number 5 bus near the station also goes through the central shopping area, and toward many sightseeing spots. Inside there are two separate spaces/tables to spend time together as a group, and the shower and bath feel quite luxurious. The two beds are comfortable, and one person can get the full futon experience in the other room. It's a little close to a main road, but it didn't seem to affect my sleep at night.

Kosuke’s was a wonderful host! He was communicative, responsive, accommodating, and provided great instructions for locating the apartment and accessing it (which made it really easy to find on the little tucked away street). The apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, and charming and felt like a very traditional Kyoto home, which we loved!! The location was absolutely ideal. It was so close to the Shijo metro stop (3 minute walk) and a very easy connection to Kyoto station and anywhere in Kyoto. In addition, many of the best sites are walking distance from the apartment: the Nishiki market is a 3 minute walk, Pontocho and Gion are less than 20 minutes, and the Yasaka shrine and Maruyama Park are only 25 minutes. And that’s only to name a few. There are also tons of great restaurants on the surrounding streets! It really could not be more ideally located. We loved our stay at Kosuke’s house and appreciated all of the thought and effort he puts into making his home welcoming!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this house in a village near Kyoto. The home is incredibly cozy and spacious, with a stunning inner garden that brings such peace and serenity — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The house is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. It beautifully blends traditional architecture with modern comforts and technologies. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. I couldn’t be happier with our stay — we enjoyed every moment and left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

A very nice apartment, with great design and in a good location. Has 2 toilets and 2 showers, which makes it great for families. About 150m away from the nearest convenience store and about 200m away from the nearest bus stop. The host is very nice, helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!

We have been to 4 different accommodations in japan. This is the best one. It beautifully blends traditional style with contemporary style. You have everything you need and beyond. The bathroom is great. Host was nice enough to allow early check in and luggage storage was available. I could not find any downsides.

Great place to stay. Very clean and spacious. Great walkable location for us. Would 100% recommend. The host gave us lots of local recommendations and we even managed to catch a local festival because of it.

The place was great! I LOVED that every room had a bathroom and shower! That was amazing for us. The family mart was very close. I’d suggest staying on the main roads to get to the trains. The rooms were great! I do wish there were more towels. I loved that the washer had a 54min quick wash and easily able to dry clothes on the balcony. The showers always felt amazing. The check in and checkout process is super easy and simple. The one thing that surprised us was the very narrow and steep stairs to get to each floor. Otherwise, each room was very spacious! Thank you!

By Japan's standards, Kyoto House is palatial. The outdoor tub and garden are as luxe as it gets. And it's a genuine 80-year-old property to boot. We got a really great deal and even though it was still expensive, was worth every penny.

７ヶ月の子どもがいる３人家族で１週間ほど宿泊しました。ベビー用品が充実していてとても快適に過ごせました。特に３つの寝室の和室以外の２部屋は遮光がしっかりしていて、昼寝の寝かしつけも楽で朝早く明るくなって起きることもなく助かりました。ただ入り口が３階でエレベーターがないので、ベビーカーやスーツケースがある場合は子を家に残して荷物を先に運ぶ必要があったのが少々不便でした。家の中のアメニティは新しく機能的なものばかりでスペースも十分にあるので、長期の滞在も快適にできると思います。アクセスも良く外食の幅も広く名古屋での短期生活拠点として申し分ない宿でした。また機会があれば利用させていただきます。

We are a family of six and I must say that this was the best experience that we have ever had. This is a nice peaceful and walkable location. The host spoiled us with many amenities including fresh fruit, snacks, candies, drinks, etc upon arrival. The kids even had a gaming system to use as well as practice their piano lessons. This is a spotless and adorable house with balconies that have a wonderful view of the tower. Very close to shoping districts. We enjoyed our walk to Dotonburi and passed through multiple shopping areas as recommended by the host. There is so much good to mention about this house that I'm lost for words. If you don't stay here, you are missing out on a great experience. We will stay at this location again. Thank you for the wonderful experience for me my wife and for kids. They will always remember this trip

As Americans we were mostly here to see the Peace Park and other things associated with the WW2 atrocity. This place is perfectly situated for that, as it is directly across from the park, and a short stroll to the Dome. Highly recommended.

The house was wonderful, the location was really quiet on the outerskirts of Kyoto, perfect for hiking and get away from the crowded areas. We have enjoyed the garden as well as the cozy living room.

We were traveling with 2 couples and had a car. After 2 weeks of busy cities and small guesthouses, we wanted a home we could cook dinner, linger at the dinner table, sit outside and play board games. We found that surprisingly hard to find in Japan. This home was modern, comfortable and has it all to hang out as a family or small group of friends. It’s on a busy road but you don’t hear it at all. But it did let us sit outside and play mellow music and enjoy the evenings. Osam is a host in an old school way, checking in regularly to make sure you are enjoying yourself and to offer assistance. The location is relatively close to Nara Park, which is worth a day. It’s a long 1 hour drive to either Kyoto or Osaka, but we spent half days at both and were grateful to go “home” to Osam’s place at the end of the day. Worth staying 3-4 nights to relax and explore this part of Japan.

会社のオフサイトMTGで使わせて頂きました。 非常にプライベートな空間で、 チーム6人で部屋の中でしっかり話し合いのMTGができ、 また外ではBBQで和気あいあいとすごす事ができました。 待ち合わせの場所まで迎えに来て頂き、 親切に宿泊施設まで先導・案内を頂き、使用の仕方を丁寧に教えて頂きました。 本当に非常によい時間を過ごせたと思います。ありがとうございました！！！

とにかく設備も揃ってるし、 全てが清潔感抜群。 プライベート空間としても塀が高いので良し。 また活用させてもらいます

仲間8人で使用させていただきましたが非常に設備も整っており 快適に過ごすことができました。 また当日の天候がすぐれずに気温が低かったですが、室内、室外の薪ストーブが新鮮で温かみがあり最高でした。 次回は暖かい時期に予約したいです。

3月下旬に利用させていただきました。周りはまだ雪がたくさんあり不安がありましたが、親切に案内していただき無事たどり着くことができました。部屋は恐竜がたくさんおり新鮮な気持ちになれました。雪がない時期には露天風呂やBBQも利用できるとの事だったので、また機会があれば利用したいと思います。この度はありがとうございました。
