Beachfront holiday rental in Myrthianos Plakias

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the North of the island. Beautiful discovery

Beautiful, clean, and very responsive. The stay was as advertised. This home is well maintained, comfortable , and close to everything.

Perfect location, 20m to the beach, many restaurants, friendly people, parking spot bit tricky but never more than 200m. Communication perfect, very proactive. Exactly as the pictures shows.

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

Great place. Great location. Kitchen was a bit small for the size of the space, but very workable. Air conditioning on the first level for the common space didn’t work (we notified the owner but were told we were wrong - we weren’t). But that didn’t really affect our stay. If the weather was hotter I could see it being an issue. But overall, we really enjoyed the rental.

Alkis was an amazing host! He went above and beyond with helpful directions and recommendations. Daily check-ins and lots of cleaning via whats app, to ensure we were happy. He even helped navigate the streets by piloting us through some closed roads when we went anywhere, many thanks Alkis.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

We had a wonderful week at Filippo's villa. The villa itself was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, less than a minute walk to lots of great tavernas and cafes, and the beach. Plakias is a great place from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area, beaches, gorges etc. Fillippos was available all the time for help with anything, including advice about the area. I would definitely recommend this villa and Plakias in general.

We had an amazing time at this place. It was super peaceful and we could not have imagined a better place for our vacation!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was better than expected! The location was great, we had easy beach access to a relatively quiet part of the beach. There were loads of great restaurants near us and we could walk into the town centre within 35 mins. Lovely amenities and very clean. Beautiful view of the ocean and square from our window. Pool was great with a lovely bar. Check-in was very easy and the staff at the hotel were very friendly. We would 100% recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Rethimno and looking to have a peaceful area to stay and don’t mind walking into town.

We particularly enjoyed the location and the villa. all amenities were as described and new. The view was breathtaking and the villa offered plenty of privacy and tranquility despite the fact that there are three identical villas next to each other. Beach, restaurants and supermarket were within walking distance. So we didn't need a rental car. The village of Agia Pelagia was also within walking distance. It is still a fairly traditional Greek fishing village but quite touristy. All in all, had a great stay where the host, albeit remotely and without personal contact, was always active online, responded quickly and proactively provided information.

High-quality bed mattresses — there was an earthquake and my friend slept through it I highly recommend this stunning villa to anyone looking for a relaxing, quality getaway with their loved ones. It’s conveniently located halfway between Heraklion and Chania (about an hour’s drive to each), it features a pool overlooking the ocean, and each room has its own bathroom and a balcony furnished with a coffee table and chairs or a sofa — perfect for enjoying the sunrise or sunset with a cup of coffee! PS: the beds were so incredibly comfortable that during an actual earthquake on our last night, my friend didn’t even feel the earth shake lol.

We loved staying here for a week in August 2024. Great welcome, beautiful place, lots of places to chill out, lovely relaxed beachfront with lovely restaurants and mini market within easy walking distance. Very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Thankyou!

The Hilltop Villas are exactly as shown in the photos. Modern facility, tip-top maintained. Very attentive hosts. Giannis and his mother Anna were very attentive and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed staying with them!

Very spacious, modern apt with a beautiful balcony. The street noise below made it difficult to sit out and talk there, but the view of the ocean was very nice. Well appointed kitchen. Very clean and neat. Mihalis gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby that was lovely. We had a nice stay here

Antonis’s place exceeded expectations in every way. Our host, George (father of Antonis) greeted us with wine, treats, welcoming words, and two adorable dogs - we felt at home and began relaxing immediately. The grounds were even better than the photos - the house is spacious, comfortable, gorgeous. The upstairs veranda overlooking the sea was a highlight - a perfect spot for morning yoga and evening stargazing. We kept discovering new wonders - the trail to the beach through the olive trees, vegetable garden, exquisite woodwork and masonry; not to mention the incredible views of mountains, meadows, and sea. The sound of the waves all night was a beautiful lullaby. The village is very quiet in early April when we were there. Nothing was open so we brought in all of our supplies, which was good because once you’ve made it down the mountain, you’ll want to stay put until it’s time to leave. - no quick trips into town from there! Def bring a sturdy vehicle! Can’t wait to go back!

we had a lovely stay with nina and rebecca—and wish it had been longer. after staying in santorini two years ago and falling in love with greece, we wanted to try another island. we’re so glad we found this gem of an airbnb. steps from the beach, the pool, our own private hot tub, a strollable little beach town, and the resort’s restaurant and bar. dinner the first night was delish and the staff was so friendly, we made a habit of coming back throughout our stay. giorgios was a star ✨ cute cat friends. sweet resident dog. we hope to return.

Super clean and cozy apartment. We felt very comfortable from start to finish. Our host Panagiotis was always friendly and reliable. Supermarkets, different restaurants and the beach were within walking distance and around the property you always found a (free) parking space. Clear recommendation for those who want to travel to beautiful Agia Galini 👍🏻

The house is in a very nice location, for those who like it a little quieter. The surrounding beaches were almost deserted in June. The house is simple but sufficiently furnished, we bought a few basics (salt, sugar, toilet paper). From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea. A very relaxed host, always available and friendly. We will be happy to come back.

The place was very nice and as described. Daniela was very warm and helpful. We only lacked a little more cooking equipment, as we occasionally wanted to cook and were then somewhat limited with a pan. Basically, we can highly recommend the apartment and would love to come back. Thank you very much.

We loved this place. The balcony was very large with a direct view of the sea. There was a natural swimming area in front of the place that was perfect for a dip anytime. The sunsets were amazing. It is close enough to walk to the Chania city center, but a car is recommended to visit the many beaches on the island. Elpida was always available for any guidance that was needed. The place is a gem we hope to visit again!
