Karina was kind and helpful. She has made every effort to make the accommodation comfortable, especially for families with a baby. We found the high chair and bathtub particularly convenient. The area is very nice and safe. We felt very comfortable.

Maria received us with a lot of attention, very nice, showed us all the accommodation. The place is wonderful, cozy and in great location. Just minutes from the old town and with a super cozy square in front… the view of the house is one of the highlights of the accommodation. We were positively surprised. Maria also gave us tips on where to go for a walk, and had a map of the city for us to locate … very helpful!! Anyway we love and indicate with our eyes closed!!

Fantastic place and very friendly and welcoming host! Elina was always ready and willing to help and provide us with whatever we needed. Her suggestions were always spot on! The apartment was exactly as was shown on photos and very comfortable. Shopping centre down the road, nice cafe across the road… restaurants and pizzeria walking distance. We would recommend the property and Elina to anyone who travels to Montevideo! ♥️

Yoha was an amazing host. The place was spotless and is very bright. The bed is comfortable and the linens are of good quality. Yoha was available to answer questions and help me out throughout my stay if I needed anything. Highly recommend this spot!

We had a wonderful stay here. The terrace invited you to relax and listen to the sounds of the city while you take in the view of the La Plata river. We appreciated the home’s cleanliness, the cozy decor, the convenient location for walking and the responsive hosts. We highly recommend 1897 for your stay in Montevideo!!

"Our stay in Maria José's apartment was amazing! The location is perfect, right next to the Rodó Park, which allowed us to enjoy daily walks with our pet. The apartment was impeccable, very comfortable and had everything you need for a pleasant stay. María José was very responsive and provided me with all the necessary directions. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone, especially those traveling with pets! Thank you, María José, for making our experience so special.”

Mara is an amazing host. She made me feel very much at home. The flat is located at the ground floor in a walkable street so great to sight see and find places to eat. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well as groceries stores. I worked here for a month (digital nomad) and wasn’t bothered by the noise. In fact I quite enjoyed the occasional local music that is played live. From the office feels more like a background ambiance. The flat is very spacious and I loved the high ceilings. Very well equipped too, didn’t miss anything. Gracias por todo Mara.

We loved the place, cute and comfortable, overlooking the river. Fernanda welcomed us warmly. The kitchen, the living room and the master bedroom overlook the river and the port of Montevideo and its Aduana. For those who like to stay in a place with history, it's an interesting place to explore. Highly recommended, it was what we expected. Thank you Fernanda, we hope to return.

Great location, could not have chosen better for two days in the city. Spacious and clean apartment. Bathroom looked recently renovated. Comfortable bed and good quality sleep. Doorman at the entrance for 24 hours. Had a great stay and great communication with the host.

For me it was the ideal place, great location has everything close: supermarket, cafeteria, church right in front, exchange house and bus stops. Mik was very attentive, he welcomed us personally, gave us recommendations and left us guides to see and do activities in the city. Everything was excellent 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
