Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mtwapa Creek

Our family had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. Kathryn & Mark were great hosts, extremely responsive & friendly. The staff at the house were great and very helpful. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Lyn was a nice and helpful host. She has sent us local recommendations and contacts ahead of our stay and was also making sure everything is ok during our stay. The house is small but cute and as advertised in a very convenient location just next to the Sundowner and Clubhouse. The bedrooms are very bright and airy with huge glass sliding doors onto the patio. Only downside is that there are no mosquito screens for the sliding doors and upon arrival they were all widely open to air out the room. This has allowed lots of huge spiders to come inside. That’s the only downside though, everything else was great. Also the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with great water pressure.

Villa by the Beach was all that we expected and more. The pictures matched our expectations. The space was very clean with neat bedding and towels. Having travelled with family, it was very family friendly. Absolutely loved the outdoor space for early mornings and in the afternoons. The staff were great too. Maikel was very responsive and supportive. Jason and the security guy were also very professional and helpful. We surely enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend Villa by the Beach.

Lorine’s place is amazing! I feel like the antique furniture and aesthetics of the colonial styles was flawless! I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends in the future. We had a wonderful 4 nights stay with family of 5. The owner responded quickly, send us very detailed information of all you need to know and arranged pick up at Mombasa airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and at the same time gives you privacy. Reuben the chef provided us splendid meals, we especially enjoyed all the fresh seafood!Recommended is to do shopping before arrival because bigger supermarkets are 40 minutes drive away. Fruits, vegetables, water, fish, soda’s are easy to get in the village but for more luxurious groceries you have to go to the bigger supermarkets. You can book the pick up from the airport with a shopping stop in Nyali. Neen Tree is a lovely family house with marvellous view and direct access to the ocean. A friendly monkey family lives on the property and are fun to watch. Besides the pool we loved going snorkelling on the rif using the equipment from the house. For transport we used Tsuma with a comfortable 7 seater which we used for a Kilifi trip.

Chris is a gentleman who has helped me with helpful information every time I've approached him. The house was handed over to me and kept clean every day by his assistant, Clara, a polite woman. His location in Nyali is excellent, near supermarkets, churches, downtown, etc. The compound is calm, we can hear the birds singing, and fresh air is circulating in every house room. Also important is a 24-hour security guard in the compound on 7/7. I will stay at Chris' house again next time I visit Mombasa.

I had a great stay. The apartment was clean and quiet, pool was cleaned every day, wifi was strong (it was a working trip). Florah provided needed information, checked in and was responsive to questions. Location is great, close enough to shops and beach. I would definitely stay again when I am through Mombasa! Very nice location, near the beach and lots of places to eat, with a suppermarket 5 min away as well. Great host, very understanding and helpful when needed. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a homely place and relaxed. The view of the ocean from the house is everything. Well cleaned and maintained all through. The kids had an awesome time and very secure. we only noted that the pool wasn't as regularly cleaned which is of concern especially when you have young kids.

Stay was as advertised. Linda was great to communicate with and very responsive. would. recommend positively to anybody considering Linda's place.

khlada's place is nit with easy access. the host is such a responsible person who's always available beyond the expectations.

Carole's place is cost and she is a wonderful host. It's good value for money. All ammenities are in working order and there's plenty of utensils. Tuk tuks are also available close by and it seems to be a fairly safe neighbourhood. I only stayed for 1 night but I'd recommend it for solo travellers or a small family.

Aly’s place in Nyali was awesome! Super clean, beautifully decorated, and even better than the pictures. The vibe was just right, and the location made it easy to explore. Aly was a great host—super responsive and made sure we had a smooth stay. Definitely worth booking again!

Had a fantastic stay at Oliver's. Exactly as advertised. Quiet, residential area. Very private with a beautiful pool. Responsive host and excellent staff. Totally recommended and would come back for sure.

We loved staying at Wangari's, the house and neighbourhood more than exceeded our expectations. The area is peaceful and easily accessible from the road and other amenities. Would 100% recommend.
