Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Shasta

Karen’s place was immaculate. Clean, spacious, and one of the best stays ever. Karen was very responsive to my needs. The town of Ft. Jones is a great place to unwind, very scenic with snow-covered mountains. Plus there's a great restaurant in town called Five Mary’s. Great steaks, burgers, and other tasteful lunches and dinners. My overall experience staying at Karen’s Blue House on the Corner was definitely a Five Star experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Redwood Cottage! It was peaceful, and the home is very comfortable. Jessie provided clear and timely instructions. We would stay here again.

Cricket’s home has now been the location for two family celebrations. Cricket is super responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended staying here!

This was honestly the best AirBNB we have ever stayed in! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let that fool you! So much thought has been put into the design and decor of this home. Cammy has thought of every last detail - there are so many wonderful pieces of art throughout the home, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever need, there is a well stocked coffee and tea station, first aid drawer, extra toiletries, plenty of fresh towels and extra comfy sheets and beds. We all loved the abundance of games and books, and the kids loved the drawer with coloring books and colored pencils. The waterfall/creek right next to the house made it feel like we were in a magical forest and my kids and dog loved playing in it. There wasn’t much of a yard for our dog to go potty or play, but there is a nice grassy park with a playground just a few minutes down the road so it wasn’t that big of a deal for us. We will definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed my time at Trish’s place in Dunsmuir near Mt. Shasta. The yard and home are both cozy and lovely — I thoroughly enjoyed many peaceful moments in each. I spent most of my time out exploring nearby nature spots or in-around the town of Shasta, and found the home a great nest to adventure from and return to for more quite times. Trish’s communication was great and I appreciated her recommendations!

It’s a great location close to the Nordic and downhill ski areas- with a beautiful view of Mt Shasta! The kitchen was well equipped (no cheap cooking stuff) and everything was clean and lovely. Very nice place, walking distance to the grocery store and a number of good restaurants, very good hot water for the bath, comfy bed, would highly recommend!

Cute apartment in an historic building. An easy walk to downtown and we enjoyed being close to the railway, we love the sound of a train. (Light sleepers take note: there weren’t a lot of trains coming through but you do hear them when they do.). The king size bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice and thick.

A nice, peaceful and beautiful place. Conveniently located, almost 15 mins to Mt Shasta City. Host was very friendly, responsive and accommodated our odd hours checkin and checkout. Very knowledgeable about the area as well.

John was very friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at home on his and Sandy’s beautiful property! It’s a peaceful and enchanting getaway in the forest, yet an easy five minutes from town. We didn’t want to leave.

Me and my wife had a wonderful 2 night stay at thyra's place, thyra has been extremely helpful with clear and detailed instructions , the place is so close to the hedge creek falls , you can simply walk to the falls , its a very beautiful fall . we would definitely like to come back here next time, Thank you thrya for being an excellent host and letting us stay at your place :)

This place is great, especially for the price. While it's just a 1 bedroom apartment, it feels much bigger than the photos show, especially the bedroom. The bed is super comfy and the bedroom doesn't share a wall with neighbors, just the carports, it's quiet. It's within reasonable walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, etc. The shower has the strongest water pressure of any shower I've ever been in. It's amazing. I'll definitely stay here again if it's available.

We were looking for an easy and clean place to stay overnight to break up a 12 hour drive and this spot worked out great! It was clean and the bed and pillows were really cozy! It had everything we needed to get some good rest and a nice warm shower. Valentina was really sweet and turned on the heat for us to come into a warm spot when we rolled in late that evening! The freeway noise is inevitable, but she provides earplugs and a sound machine to make it easier! I’ll stay here again when passing through!
