Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Shasta

We were embraced by Loma Lee, Ron and the magnificent scents, sounds and beauty of nature. The peacocks, Pete the llama, all the birds, butterflies, beautiful flowers made our stay. Loma Lee's delectable banana bread and homemade blackberry jam brightened our days and delighted our palates. We are very grateful to them for sharing this beautiful natural space

The decor was tastefully done and added to the ambiance of the property. Dunsmuir was convenient to hiking trails (e.g Hedge Creek Falls, Castle Crags State Park, McCloud River Falls and the Siskiyou Lake Trail) which was our primary reason for visiting the area.

We had an absolute wonderful stay here. Home was beautiful with a stunning view of Mount Shasta in a private and peaceful neighborhood. It was a great location for the purpose of our trip to explore and hike. Beds were comfortable and things were well-stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Our only issue was the heat, especially upstairs. I don’t consider this to be an issue with the hosts, since small fans were provided in each room, it’s just something to mention for future guests to be aware that it can get pretty hot, even in early June, with no A/C. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we visited the area again. Our trip was adults only but this would be a great stay for families with children since toys and high chairs were available.

Very nice place and close location to Shasta. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We could hear some traffic noise from the highway from one of the bedrooms but it was minor especially with the window closed. The window ACs kept the bedrooms cool.

We had a very nice stay at this beautiful house. It's dog friendly and the yard is amazing - big and nice outdoor seating areas. The house had everything we needed, great kitchen, cute bedrooms, comfortable beds and plenty of additional lines and towels. One can walk downtown to restaurants and shops very easily and all are dog friendly. Host communication was prompt and we were very comfortable and would definitely stay here again.

A very cute little place in the mountains! Very warm and cozy and felt like home! Very clean and would stay again! Two people in our party of 4 are 6’5” so they found the beds uncomfortable due to having a railing at the foot of the bed so something to think about if you have a tall party! Rooms do get a little toasty without window A/C but living area well controlled by split unit! Host is great and location close to lots of hiking! Town itself is a little dead but a very quiet place to be!

Michelle created such a beautiful and homey space. The garden is so lovely with an epic view of Mt. Shasta. It was a pleasant surprise to find toys in the closet for my daughter to play with. It was also really nice to have the park so close by. The train was loud the first night but then we got use to it. My daughter felt right at home and did not want to leave. We definitely want to come back!

I stayed here with my two children, ages 8 and 5, and the three of us absolutely loved it. It was more spacious than I expected, with plenty of space for the two roll-out beds in the living room while maintaining the full hang-out space. Everything was extremely clean, the kitchen fully stocked, and the bath products smell incredible. Anna Marie was very responsive and also so kindly accommodating as we arrived a little earlier than our check in time. The house itself is so thoughtfully decorated, every room is bright and airy, and we felt right at home. We hope to come back! It was a lovely experience for my family!

We had a great one night stay at Thyra’s place. It was cool to be able to walk to a waterfall that was barely half a mile away. The place is very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Steve’s place. The location was perfect as a base for Mount Shasta and the surrounding area. The historic building is quaint and the town is homey. Despite the age of the building, the apartment was quite clean and had everything we needed and more. Great value for an awesome location! Steve was very helpful and responsive and made us feel welcomed. Would love to return!

Excellent stay. We are family of four with 2 adults and 2 kids. Host was accomodative for the request of additional bed. It's a hotel at good location. Recommended for good stay.

A nice, peaceful and beautiful place. Conveniently located, almost 15 mins to Mt Shasta City. Host was very friendly, responsive and accommodated our odd hours checkin and checkout. Very knowledgeable about the area as well.

We loved the stay. The apartment was clean, easy to access and perfect for 4 people.

John was very friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at home on his and Sandy’s beautiful property! It’s a peaceful and enchanting getaway in the forest, yet an easy five minutes from town. We didn’t want to leave.
