Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Hotham

Jill and Peter’s place was the loveliest stay! They had evening plans but made sure I got in okay and gave me the tour before heading out. Turned on the heater before I arrived and made sure I would be warm enough with the winter cold. They gave full access to the backyard/deck and I was able to watch the birds and the most beautiful sunset. In the morning I was greeted by their sweet dog Meg and shown the sheep and chickens. Jill and Peter were amazing with communication, so welcoming and their place was cozy and beautiful.

Great accommodation with a very comfortable feel to the house. Comfortable bed and the bathroom is amazing. All amenities were great. Close to town and right on the track so great for walking and bike riding.

Great location for exploring the mountains.

What an incredible house for a large group of people with a HUGE Communal area , gorgeous views overlooking Bright and so private on 17 acres The house was extremely clean and well stocked Communication with both Victoria and Adrian was exceptional An easy walk into the centre of town We will definitely LOVE to stay again Many thanks

Such a beautiful location. Very relaxing and tranquil. The apartment had everything you could need! An added bonus was the huge collection of movies! It was super cosy and the owners were helpful in recommending places to visit in the area.

Wendy's place was amazing and Wendy was very contactable. We had a few questions prior to our arrival and Wendy was able to promptly reply to our messages. Check-in details were also provided very clearly and was very easy!

We loved the authenticity and ambience of the cottage and the peaceful surrounds. For those who live a nice open wood fire this is a perfect spot. All close to beautiful sites, especially Yackandandah and Beechworth.

This cabin is a real gem. Genuine peace and quiet, a true escape from humanity, exactly what I was after. Right on the river, I sat down on the perfectly located seat and listened to the rushing water for hours. It was clean, exactly as described and there is no doubt I will be back again someday. We really enjoyed our stay at Melinda’s Airbnb. It was in a great location, easy to find and access, the fire was alight when we arrived and the space was very warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the decor and found the space clean and tidy. We had a slight mishap with the shower which has a narrow entry. We would recommend bringing your own pillows (we unfortunately forgot ours). The yard is great for leashed toilet walks for dogs. We were mindful that we could hear people on the other side of the adjoining door which is just something to note but wasn’t particularly intrusive. Overall, would recommend and we would stay again. Melinda was a great host.

Sharon's place was exactly what the description said. We really enjoyed the place. Will come back again and I highly recommend the place!

We had such a great stay at Linda's place. Linda was really accommodating with an early check-in. The property exceeded expectations and had all the amenities and activities required to entertain the whole family. The house is really close and walking distance to everything Bright has to offer. We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful weekend away in the tranquil walnut farm groves of the apline region - with birds-sheep-cattle-foxes to keep us company- and our dog could run around and enjoy life while the fire kept us toasty warm. Ronaldo has completely undersold this place as a gem for the region - will visit again

We had a wonderful stay at Jan’s place. It was the perfect place for a cold winter weekend. We loved the fireplace and the bbq. It was shame that it rained the whole time, otherwise we would’ve used the fire pit too. The cottage had everything we needed to cook our meals. The bed was very comfortable. The place had a small secure dog pen where my dog could be off leash. There were also towels and bowls for dogs. I stayed at Ayu N Peter’s for 4 nights. The house is everything you need, very clean, warm and comfortable as was the bedding. Ayu was attentive and happy to assist with any requests I had and as well as in relation to my little dog. Which I was so grateful for. Ayu is a great host, Bright is beautiful, and I will definitely be back to stay at their house next time I’m in Bright.

The perfect bushwalker, dog lover and nature seeker get-a-away with all the basic necessities for a comfortable and scenic stay. The large fully fenced area around the cabin was perfect for my eager border collie and husky to roam independently. Also lots of dog friendly walks to drive to, although the area is mostly surrounded by National Parks, so super great for walking without dogs too. The cabin is warm with closed-in fireplace and open plan rustic style with all the necessities so plenty of room for a couple. And the enclosed garden lovely for evenings under the stars or breakfasts in the sun. I loved it! Big Smiles…

We had a very comfortable stay with my dog. It was our second time at Mad on the Buckland. Kay was an absolutely wonderful host. We didn’t know there was a festival happening in Bright until Kay kindly let us know. Thanks to that, we were able to visit Bright just in time and enjoy the festival without missing a thing. The location is perfect for visiting nearby places, and we had such a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Thank you, Kay!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stunning property! The beautiful home boasts breathtaking hill views, and its cleanliness and amenities exceeded our expectations. The outdoor shower and BBQ area were additional highlights, perfect for relaxation and entertainment. The spacious house features generously sized bedrooms and exceptionally comfortable beds, ensuring a restful stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the high country. Lastly, our host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Five stars, without a doubt!

The property is lovely. The house is sweet and well set up. The gardens are beautiful, it feels like you are in a private oasis - except for a little bit of traffic noise from the road right next to the property. The pool was lovely and relaxing. Only negative is there is basically no phone reception at all, and the internet was very intermittent (so the TVs wouldnt work for most of our visit). Theres also no logical way to get from the pool to shower without dripping water through the house. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay.

We absolutely loved the cottage, breakfast staples and the little extra treats left for us. Very pretty, even though it was cold and wintery you could tell the gardens will be stunning come spring. Thank you Peter and Jamie for welcoming us to your home 💜

The unit was clean as recently been updated, with everything you need and close locations to shops and easy access to everything.

Wonderful winter stay at Upper Lurg. 3 couples could not have loved the house more on a cold weekend. Facilities and space were amazing with everything you could need. The pool looked a bit cool at 7 degrees but we could see outdoor summer entertaining being amazing, the spaces, the outdoor cooking area all looked amazing, was ready to crank up the pizza oven. If only the chickens were laying eggs. The location was amazing for the King Valley Wineries. Easy drive to all the Valley. Will plan another visit.

Narelle was incredibly easy to contact and responded quickly, making the booking process seamless. The house itself was amazing spacious, clean, and well equipped. The highlight was definitely the beautiful farm setting, with cows and chickens roaming freely. Sitting at the dining table while watching the cows walk past was such a peaceful and unique experience. The rooms and bathroom were generously sized, offering plenty of comfort, and the pool was a fantastic addition for relaxation. The entire stay was truly enjoyable, and we felt so connected to nature. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you Narelle once again.
