Loon Sound Cottage, On the Water

Loon Sound Cottage, on beautiful Toddy Pond in Surry, is centrally located between Bar Harbor/Acadia & Blue Hill. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lakeside oasis while just being a short distance from many sites of interest. Visit nearby Castine, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park. Hear the loons at night, kayak to beaver cove and see an eagles nest. A tranquil and peaceful setting. A perfect balance of rest and adventure. We prefer Sat-Sat. rental but flexible.

Camping Cabin

Our camping cabins comfortably accommodate two adults. Each cabin includes a queen-size bed and a small futon that can sleep a small child. Please note that the cabins do not have air conditioning, heating, linens, or a private bathroom inside the cabin. The bathhouse is a short walk away. Each cabin is equipped with a mini fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. The cabins are situated in a family-friendly campground, and the swimming pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Set on Morgan's Bay at the end of a private road, 1798 provides a quiet retreat for families, remote workers, artists, and writers. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, the main floor has a modern kitchen, living and dining rooms that open to the spacious ocean-side deck, and primary bedroom suite. The views are stunningly beautiful. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor, and a large family room with 65" TV and full bathroom located in the finished basement.

This estuary comes from the ocean and flows out with the mornings and in with the afternoons mirroring the oceans tides.
