Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. EV Car charger. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

Handcrafted Shack, Halls Gap, Grampians (Gariwerd)

Wander through the trees to our handcrafted Shack, lovingly built from recycled materials, with breathtaking panoramic views over our regenerative farm to the mountains beyond. Inside snuggle by the wood heater, outside relax on a hand hewn red gum deck with built-in bath, outdoor shower. The outhouse provides views across the wetlands and its wildlife! Gariwerd walks are a 10 minute stroll away, as is good coffee, the local brewery and the eateries of Halls Gap. Come and connect!

101 Love Shack

Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.

Myrtle Cottage

Recently refurbished 1900s Miners Cottage! Conveniently located on a main thoroughfare through Ararat. Explore a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. just a short approximatley 15 minute walk. The Grampians National Park is approximately a 45-minute drive away & wine region only about 15 minutes by car. You'll have access to the entire home, except third bedroom. Off-street & on-street parking available. Please note, some cosmetic work is still underway on the exterior.
