“I can’t say enough about this awesome little cottage on a country road in the Mad River Valley. This is one of the few listings on this site/app that actually surpassed expectations. It’s a perfect size for 1-4 people and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. By far the biggest surprise and stand out feature is how incredibly soft and comfy the mattress was! For skiing in the MRV its a prime spot bc it’s just off of Route 100 and an easy drive to downtown Waitsfield which means great restaurants and tasty beer like Lawson’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again regardless of the season.”
The Tinmouth Vermont Schoolhouse c.1840, was moved and restored in 1981 to Bent Hill Settlement in Waitsfield Vermont. This charming, private one-room schoolhouse sits on 6 acres and has been newly updated in 2017. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. Private bath off open living space. Bedroom upstairs in the garret. Outside patio table and gas BBQ grill.
“Amazing retreat! I was fortunate enough to spend four night at this gorgeous little home. It is perfect for one or two. Valerie is very responsive and helpful. The kitchen is well stocked - even with a perfectly cared for pair of iron skillets. I was there in February during a few very cold days/nights and the house stays beautifully warm. Highly recommended.”
The Crossett Hill Farmhouse, built in 1867, sits on 20 acres of rolling fields, orchards and woodland minutes from Waterbury. Stay in an antique-filled room while visiting Central Vermont for outdoor recreation or to sample Vermont's famous craft brews.
“There are plenty of reasons why Kim and Kurt's airbnb have 5 star reviews! The bedroom was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and extra blankets for cold nights. There were fresh flowers on the nightstand, a bottle of water and cups on the dresser, and a helpful list of info (wifi password, breakfast details, etc.) on the side table. The bathroom was not attached to the room but it was clean and equipped (hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, towels, soap). Kim and Kurt offered great suggestions for local restaurants, hikes, and places to visit. Note that they do live off a hilly dirt road. We had no trouble in our rental car, although there were a few slippery spots of mud on one of the days that it rained. I can't recommend this airbnb enough! You won't be disappointed!”
