Cabin holiday rentals in Mooresville

We have not used AirBnB many times, but this one stands out as the best experience yet! What a lovely, clean, tidy, quaint, attractive, simple, elegant, and comfortable lakeside property this is. We enjoyed cooking meals, grilling, soaking in the hot tub, sunset cocktails on the dock. Planning to return in the future for another stay!

There are some houses that need to be in a class of their own and Peaceful Horizons is certainly one of them! The views are breathtaking, the silence in the mountains is amazing, the house has everything you can imagine. Kitchen is very well stocked. There are clear labeled instructions on everything in the house. We arrived after dark and it was raining, we passed the driveway and had to do a very interesting turnaround. Try to get there in day light, it’s much easier. We loved it so much, we’re already rebooked in October! We celebrated our 22 anniversary and enjoyed having such peaceful time together. I couldn’t help but tear up every time I sat on the deck. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this incredible home. I’m so grateful to have been there.

Jonathan is a great host! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — he even left some duck eggs in the fridge for us. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

From the moment I booked "The Summit" Barbara, the owner, was available to answer any questions about local cuisine or how certain amenities worked. The responses were always ultra fast, clear and informative. She treated us as friends as opposed to feeling like a renter. The property was exactly as described and was decorated nicely and in squeaky clean condition. We chose "The Summit" for its solitude and tranquility and boy did it deliver. The Views....simply breathtaking. you have to experience it 1st hand to appreciate the serene beauty of western NC. From the mountains to the lakes to the daily excursions that lead us to try so many new adventures we couldn't have been happier with the host, the house or the location. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and will be cherished forever!

James and Jane were amazing. They made sure we were up to date with the area, have local restaurants near the home. Also had access to the river. They were nice and helpful and they have a lovely home.

Lovely cabin home, matching decor, fully stocked, comfy mattresses, and great amenities. Felt private but was close to extracurricular activities we had planned (spa, winery, steakhouse). Enjoyed the hot tub and wanted to have smores at the firepit (compliments of the host!) but the windy weather made a fire unsafe. Maybe next time!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cleanliness, coziness, and thoughtful amenities. The cabin had everything we needed and more, making our stay effortless and relaxing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with stunning views, comfortable furnishings, and a well-equipped kitchen. Whether sitting in the hot tub under the stars, cozying up by the fireplace, or just unwinding, every moment was a dream. What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding hospitality. The owners' communication was top-notch—thorough, clear, and always helpful. It was evident they genuinely care about their guests and have created a five-star experience. If you're looking for the perfect mountain escape, this is it! We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and seamless getaway.

Three of us stayed at Heaven's Door Mountain Retreat in Moravian Falls, NC and had an amazing time! The wooded location and the cabin provided privacy, tranquility and much needed peaceful sleep. The cabin was immaculate, decorated beautifully, comfortable, spacious and yet very cozy offering all the modern amenities listed. We especially enjoyed coffee and tea on the front porch and reading /writing in the upstairs loft while listening to music from the Bose surround system which can be played inside and outside the cabin. The kitchen is lovely and provides all the necessities if one wants to cook. However, we choose to go to nearby local restaurants for dinner. Communication with our gracious and friendly hosts, Michael and Judy, made everything from booking the cabin to checking out hassle free. They provided many special thoughtful touches like a Welcoming Basket full of goodies. We definitely plan on coming back ! Thank you so much Michael and Judy for sharing your home!

This was place was just something else! The surroundings were astounding, and the home was very spacious. Not only that but you even get to be with a cat in there, the most gentle and calm cat I have ever met. I would absolutely recommend this house and would love to come back.

I had a truly lovely stay at this chalet. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how clean and well-maintained everything was — spotless interiors, fresh linens, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, they made sure I had everything I needed without ever being intrusive. Their local recommendations were spot on, and it was clear they put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. This is a great location if you are going for Lake Norman. There is great boat parking and is close to restaurants and grocery. Highly recommend

We were attending a nearby music festival and our group enjoyed the house and setting so much we wished we had more time to spend there. It was equipped with everything we needed and had beautiful surroundings and relaxing outdoor spaces. It was also kid friendly. Our host was very responsive and we would highly recommend a stay there.

I want to say this place was so at home. I felt we were in cabin and being rural, at the same time so close to whatever we needed. the surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was so clean and equipped. My son loved the fact he could stay in loft by himself, and still being close to us. we loved to hear birds, and rooster singing around and we also meet some locals and neighbors; very friendly. Robin and Jay were so kind when I needed to talk to them and John helped me to find the local event, even though we didn't go (we had so much fun just being at cabin). Overall we loved, loved it and loved it. Thank you Robin and Jay for creating such a lovely place to stay in; felt so at home. Sarah, Jay and Benjamin

We loved our stay at the cabin! We didn’t want to leave. The deck is a beautiful spot for morning yoga. Dog friendly was a huge plus. I hope to stay again when I’m in Granite Falls.

This cabin was surprisingly tucked away in a pine grove. The seclusion and unique setting make this a spot I’d love to come back to! Next time, I’ll bring the golf bag…

This was exactly the vacation we were looking for. Quiet area, easy to find right on the lake. The house is an older home with a lot of charm. I loved the stone walkway to the lake and the fact the house was not right on the road. The beds were comfortable which I think is hard to find. I would definitely recommend staying here.

So quiet and relaxing! And the house had everything you would need, the host even let me call her so she could explain the tv/projector! Loved the place!

Goodness, we hate to keep giving great reviews for Comity Cabin because available dates for our next trip keep getting harder and harder to find. It’s kinda like a great restaurant with 90+ minute wait times. Why go anywhere else?? Truly, Sarah’s cabin is THE BEST quilters/crafters “get-a-way”. The bedrooms are spacious and each have two twins which is perfect. En-suite bathrooms for each are an added bonus. The quilting/crafting area is amazing - with adjustable tables and comfy chairs and individual task lamps. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cooking vessels, serving and dining dishes. The only “scary” part is the 1/2 mile or so “drive-up” - but it’s not so bad after a few times and the retreat is well worth any travel angst. We had a few daily runners in our group and they enjoyed their morning runs as well as a quick trip to the falls.

This cabin was very beautiful, I felt as if I was in the mountains. The area was very peaceful and serene. I will absolutely be booking this place again.

We loved staying at Black Bear Cabin! From the moment we drove up the driveway I felt right at home, the property is just so peaceful and beautiful. We saw deer and rabbit grazing every day which my young daughter really enjoyed. Kay was very accommodating and very responsive, she made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin itself was clean and the beds comfortable. We all enjoyed playing pool and roasting smores over the fire pit. The next time we’re in the area we will be booking with Kay at Black Bear Cabin! All around a 5 star rating from me!

Stayed here with members of our bridal party! Deck and fire pit were a great touch, inside and outside of the house were so beautiful and kept up with super well. Construction was on the dock but Glenn communicated ahead of time to let us know!!! Beautiful space, and we had a wonderful time!!! Would stay here again.

Very fun decor, like being in an antique shop! Great kitchen and spacious bedrooms. Fenced in yard! On the grounds of a working farm and petting zoo which was fun to see! Not toddler friendly. There is a lot of antique style decor at low levels, definitely not child proof. But wonderful for adults or older kids!

Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook. Great views. No complaints.
