This primitive cabin nestled in the woods overlooking the Grand River is a nature-lover's paradise! Come canoe, fish, experience wine country, or unplug and just get away from it all. Please note: There is no running water or electricity at the site, but the cabin is generator-ready and there is an outhouse. See below for more details.
“This is a quaint cabin tucked in the woods. Perfect for the ultimate camping experience, without the hassle of setting up a tent. The wood burning stove was fun to use to start a fire. The house heated up immediately, and stayed warm throughout the night without us having to keep the fire going. The beds are bunks and located at the very top of the cabin, so it was easy to stay warm with the rising heat. It was a rainy night, but we made the most of it. Beds were reasonably comfortable. The outhouse was very clean and the compost eliminated any sort of scent. We felt very safe overall. Will definitely be back!”

“This was a perfect spot for us as we were traveling with 2 recently adopted older mid sized rescue dogs. Our utmost desired important feature was that it be safe for them. This property was that and more. We were able to pull the van right into the garage and close the door so the dogs didn't have to be leashed up before entering the house. The entry was a large mud/laundry room that had a door to the medium sized fenced in area. This was great/plenty of room for them to run safely around and go to the bathroom (waste bags provided). The fence was chain link so the dogs could see what was going on at the farm in the back which they seemed to enjoy. After a 9 hr drive it was a welcome relief not to have to leash walk them but just let them out the door/ it made it easy to let them go in and out often. The house itself was very clean; well equipped and comfortable. We appreciated the nice wine glasses and the good quality coffee provided. We were sorry due to being so tired from our long drive we didn't get to talk to the owners + meet the horses. However, we got to enjoy the view of the pastures with them as well as the farm dogs from the large living room windows. If you are traveling with a family dog(s) you will so appreciate the safety, ease, and convenience of this property so don't hesitate to consider it!”

“This was our second stay at Forever Spring. It is the perfect couples getaway. We love everything about the cabin and the grounds. The weather was not ideal to explore the woods but we enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to nature. The hot tub is a really nice touch. The hosts are very responsive. We hope to come back again.”
