Waterfront holiday rentals in Montgomery

What a lovely place! Carlene was gracious and warm, and answered all our questions. And the apartment is lovely and very comfortable. And the view out the wall of windows looks over Lake Champlain, offering superb views and still preserving privacy. The yard is large and immaculately maintained, and the nearby causeway offers a trail to bicycle and walk with the lake on either side. I would definitely come back here again. Note that the drive to downtown Burlington is lengthier than I anticipated--about 40 minutes, depending on time of day. However, the seclusion of this home by the lake is what made it so worthwhile.

Great stay! The accommodation was clean, comfortable and ideally located for our activity in the area. I recommend this place without hesitating!

This was my second stay, and once again it was absolutely perfect. The host is incredibly kind and helpful—he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. The property itself is straight out of a dream... right on the lake, peaceful, and beautifully kept. I’ve stayed at a lot of places, but this one feels like home—and honestly, it's my dream home. Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, top-notch getaway.

We had the most fantastic stay with Sheila and Jeremy! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. Sheila was a proactive and responsive communicator. But what stood out to us more than anything were the various thoughtful touches provided during our stay. We arrived late, after a long drive, and Sheila and Jeremy were there to meet us in person and help carry our bags inside. They had fresh muffins waiting and even left some snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) in the fridge in case we hadn’t eaten dinner. They also provided coffee, tea, milk, honey, which was great in the mornings, and we so appreciated having access to the washer & dryer to do some laundry. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about our stay and we hope to return!

Ideal, beautiful location for visiting Middlebury and this gorgeous region of Vermont. The setting by the river is stunning and soothing. The unit is very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is gracious and welcoming. We feel so fortunate to have found this lovely location!

Amazing gem in the middle of the forest! It demonstrate a perfect harmony between nature and human craft. Lake, horses and a lot of lands so our dog was super happy. We were there 4days but it felt like a two week retreat in terms of recovery and déconnection! Simply amazing

The apartment was beautiful! Everything was clean! The bed was super comfortable. I slept like a baby. The location was peaceful and quiet with exception of the little river next door, which was a welcome and meditative sound. Windows open or air condition, the temperature was easily modified. Great little restaurants and park nearby for a perfect morning 5K! WiFi enabled me to get some work done. Parking was private. Most of all, I felt safe inside the apartment and my surroundings.

A fantastic stay with everything we needed! Cozy, quaint, and located right by an amazing river. One of my favorite feautures of this place was being able to hear the water from the rental! We enjoyed our vacation visiting the beauty of Vermont's landscape, while also spending some time in Burlinton

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin on the lake in Eden, Vermont. It was the perfect family getaway for us and our kids (ages 9 and 12). The cabin was super comfortable and had everything we needed, but the best part was definitely being right on the lake. We spent our days kayaking and fishing—non-stop. The kids had the best time and didn’t want to leave. It was peaceful, relaxing, and full of simple fun. Inside, the pool table was a huge hit with the kids and gave us something extra to enjoy in the evenings. The owner was incredibly kind, accommodating, and easy to communicate with, which made everything even better. You can tell they really care about making sure guests have a great experience. At night, we played games, relaxed, and just enjoyed the quiet. The whole place had a great vibe—cozy, clean, and easy to settle into. If you’re looking for a low-key, nature-filled escape with the family, this place is a total win. We’d love to come back!

Spent the weekend here with my girlfriend and we both loved it! The house was very nice and the views were amazing. We like to cook and the kitchen was perfect for us and fully stocked with everything we needed. This place was perfect for a cozy weekend in Vermont. We enjoyed that we could travel into Burlington and that it wasn’t far away (about a 20 min drive). During our stay my girlfriend and I had made the decision to make a trip to Vermont each spring and to stay here in the years to come. Amazing place and perfect for couples! We look forward to next year!!

We had a lovely time at Brad and Rose’s lake house. The views were great and we had fantastic weather. The place was very clean and comfortable. We hope to be back again someday!

The cottage is very beautiful and well maintained, my boyfriend and I had a great weekend, there are several walking shelters within walking distance of the cottage. The cottage offers many things to do too! We really enjoyed it and want to come back again!

Modern and rustic combined, beautiful sunny kitchen, easy access to kingdom trails. Beds were very comfortable.

This place is worth your stay, it was beautiful smelt fresh as the cleaner did amazing, I felt like I was at home the nice quite outdoors for my family to relax and see the view of lake Eden! Thank you for letting my family enjoy our stay, we will be back!

We loved our stay. It was beautiful and we loved being right by the lake as well as the sauna, fire pit, and outdoor seating. The house was cozy and the little kids toy closet was such a cute touch. We had an amazing time on our family vacation and would definitely recommend this rental. Ash was also so communicative and ready to help if we ever needed anything. So thankful!

My husband and I stayed in National at 1854 House and we loved it! It was exactly as described, and Sarah was a terrific host. Everything was very clean, she was quick to respond, left detailed instructions about all the unit had to offer, and even gave us some local recommendations. The bed was comfortable, the view was great, and the swing in the living room was a wonderful extra touch. The location was perfect for exploring all of northern Vermont. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. We would absolutely stay in National again. Definitely recommend!

Spacious and well supplied, comfortable bed and relaxing back porch. Host’s were very accommodating and responsive. Walkable to town or short drive to attractions. Others have noted hearing occupants in the upstairs condo this was not an issue for us, we slept soundly. Would stay again if in the area.

Very nice stay at Vanessa's. Everything was clean and functional. We liked to have an aperitif on the terrace overlooking the marina and watch the sunset in the swings by the lake. A relaxing stay in a beautiful environment. Access to the city and grocery store on foot. We'll be back.

Jacques's apartment was very quaint and clean. Full Kitchen, bath and separate bedroom. I was just passing through and only stayed for the one night, but the little town looks like a very cool place to spend some time exploring in the future. The host greeted me curbside on arrival and even popped out to say good-by the following morning. Thanks for allowing me to stay at your place!

We’ve stayed at several condos in the same area. This was definitely our favorite. It was both pristine and cozy. We definitely hope to stay here again.

They condo was one of the best 3 we have ever stayed in. We loved and appreciated all the little touches. We were extremely grateful for the wine, chocolates, cookies...it was nice to discover this after our drive. The condo was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and it truly is a home away from home. We stayed for almost 2 weeks and didn't want to leave yet! It's a nice 1/2 mile walk to the lake and ice cream:). Restaurants, grocery store and other retail is about a 1 mile walk. We absolutely loved the location. We hope to be back again.

It was an exceptional stay at Audré's, in contact with nature and close to a beautiful body of water - the cleanliness was immaculate, and beautiful little touches very appreciated (milk, muffins, bread, coffee, etc.) simplified our lives. Very comfortable stay - convenient to ski wither Sugarbush or Mad River. Philip sent specific instructions for turning the heat up on arrival. It took a little while to warm up, but individual thermostats in LR and BR worked nicely. Local recommendations for restaurants and such were spot on.
