Gîte de l'Abbaye d 'Etrun

The cottage is the oldest house in the village, it guarded the entrance to the Abbey of the Benedictines of Etrun. The Abbey was founded in 980 and destroyed during the revolution in 1789. The whole has been listed as a Historic Monument. In 1815 Cardinal De La TOUR d'AUVERGNE decided to build his "Summer Residence" of which the surrounding walls still exist, as well as some period elements. In 1915, General Pétain made it his headquarters and commanded the Battle of Artois from these places.

The bathroom is nice and functional. The living room and kitchen are also at their disposal for quick cooking… the south-facing terrace and garden offer them the opportunity to eat outside or sunbathe on the terrace. Finally, all the ingredients are there for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Ideally located in the middle of nature in a small quiet village, 10 minutes from Arras, 20 min from Lorette, Vimy, 45 min from Lille, 1 hr from the Opal Coast and Amiens. Our poolside tipi is ready to welcome a couple or a family with 2 children for an unusual night with breakfast included. Swimming pool shared with the owners, not heated but 27°C in season, possibility of swimming under the dome in case of wind and petanque court. No other tenants at the same time as you.

Take a break in the countryside and relax in this small stable converted into a cozy cottage in the countryside. This studio is attached to our home but is completely autonomous. Two ATVs are available. To go further, a car is required (located 25 minutes from Arras/Hesdin, 30 minutes from Lens/Vimy. One hour from Lille and the Opal Coast. Paris is 2 hours by car (or 45 minutes by TGV from Arras). Cross circuit in Ternois 20 min.
