This is the location of the film "The Father of the Milky Way Railroad", which was released in May 2023. The Manmoku Shoten shop also appears in the film. The scene in the second-hand bookstore in "Yakusho Koji-san" was filmed at this inn. You can get to the Iwamura Castle site on foot or by car. Please come and imagine what kind of battles took place here. There aren't as many tourists as in other tourist destinations, so you can enjoy the castle town life all to yourself. Iwamura fans continue to come. After 4 pm, you will be surprised by the calm and quiet atmosphere. When you walk along the main street at night, you will see a row of lanterns that look like paper lanterns, which is very magical. On the day of the "summer solstice", the sunset falls straight down the street, and you can see a very beautiful scene. (Depending on the weather, it's around 6:30 pm for about a week around mid-June every year) We also operate a retro kimono rental and dressing service in this building. If you'd like to wear a kimono, please make a reservation. There is a discounted rate for guests staying at the accommodation. You can relax in a renovated space in a traditional wooden house. A wood stove is available in winter and air conditioning in summer. At night you can see lots of stars and shooting stars. There is a floor space unique to the Japanese-style room, and there is also a space called "ma" designed in the living space, where you can decorate and enjoy seasonal flowers and trees. We can bring you a hot breakfast every morning if you want. You can use the kitchen to cook meals. Cooking utensils and basic seasonings (oil, salt, pepper) are provided.
