I was so pleased with this wonderful place! Very clean, beautiful, and felt like home! Ms. Katherine couldn’t have been more kind. We adored her! She went above and beyond to give us an easy and great experience! I am so thankful!

There were two of us in the beautiful part of Wendy and Sven's house. Wendy welcomed us and showed us the charming apartment in her Appenzell house. In the spacious kitchen we were able to cater perfectly, the fridge is large and there is plenty of dishes available. Great that there is also a dishwasher! Tabs, detergent, sponge, enough kitchen towels, everything available. Also plenty of towels and toilet paper. We didn't miss anything. We took beautiful hikes and had good food in neighboring Heiden. We also visited the Henry Dunant Museum in Heiden - very interesting! In the cozy living room, we were able to relax well and review our experiences. The ceilings and door frames are low because it is an old, very pretty, renovated Appenzell house, you have to be a little careful. We're looking forward to our next visit with Wendy and Sven!

Very well located accommodation in the area, surrounded by beautiful scenery and quiet. Typical chalet of the area. Vintage interior, very well equipped. Ceiling height indeed low for tall people but Ok for the others.

From the moment we booked Thomas was proactive in reaching out and utterly charming. One of our group had to arrive early and they were very helpful with arranging that. His family next door were friendly and helped us choose somewhere to eat on our final day. Bonus cats in the neighbourhood and glorious decor.

Very nice cottage with garden, between slightly modern and old school. Beautiful nature, etc., we haven't been so relaxed in a long time, even the dog was relaxed. The bonus was the little stream that runs through the garden, especially nice for falling asleep. Highly recommended👌👍👍

Thomas and his mother welcomed us very warmly. The house is very comfortable, has amazing views . The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and tidy and we felt very comfortable. It was a wonderful weekend with my family. Thank you Thomas and your parents. We will be happy to come back.

A very nice and cute little cabin close to nature. The area offers many things if you want to explore the Swiss countryside. We really enjoyed our time here! And the host, René is very communicative and suggested many things to do and places to eat. The only thing we would’ve like to know before booking was that there is another rental house right next to the cabin with room for many people and the cabin is in the garden of this house. So privacy is difficult if both houses are booked at the same time. We were lucky to be alone.

We enjoyed our stay in the middle of nature and felt very welcome. The view was beautiful and there were great excursion options nearby. Feeding the chickens, rabbits and sheep every morning was an absolute highlight for our kids and the apartment is perfectly equipped for family holidays with toys, child seat, changing table, baby bed, sandboxes, etc. We were also allowed to use the barbecue and were able to end the beautiful May days wonderfully. Speaking of sounds: the Toggenburg Sound Trail, which can be reached super quickly by bus and mountain railway, is worth a visit. Thank you, Andrea and Peter, for the hospitality. We will be happy to come back. :)

We spent two weeks there with our 7-month-old dog and were very satisfied. Super nice apartment with fantastic pool and large garden (shared with the owners and other residents), where you can relax. Good location for hiking in the area and excursions to Austria, Liechtenstein or even Bavaria. The hosts are helpful and easy to reach if you need to know something. All in all, highly recommended 🙏🏻

Very lovely place with an extremely pleasant vibe. Even had a very friendly cat for company! The stay itself offers a lot of activities so I could easily stay much much longer 😊

We had a great time at the cottage on the Sitter. It is really very cozy and equipped with everything you need. The location is idyllic. The communication with Claudia was always straightforward and friendly.

The apartment and especially the terrace have a perfect view of the lake. The lake can also be reached in a few minutes (Lago Mio). We were warmly greeted by Vreni and always felt comfortable. The apartment is well-equipped and looks the same as shown on the pictures. We were particularly pleased with the equipment of the kitchen (spices, pans, pots, toaster ...). The only thing that bothered us about the apartment was the creaking bed in the bedroom.

Jacqueline and Rolf were very friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable in the circus wagon. It is a great place to relax and unwind and the highlight is of course the sauna and the bio pool. With the bike, I was able to take great trips in the area or to Lake Constance. Would recommend right away.

This is my second stay at Andy's place across from the Bühler train station. As expected from my last visit, Andy's communication was clear and prompt. It was lovey to be able to cook a full dinner as all the pots, pans, and utensils were there in the fully equipped kitchen. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Preston's place ia beautiful. Very modern and spacious! Lots of great amenities, bright and clean. we didn't realize it charges differently for the amount of people that stays so we had to pay extra because we were 4 and booked for 1. Silly mistake. would stay there again without hesitation.

I am Thai and my husband is Swiss. I have been back in town for errands and we have stayed here for 2 nights. For anyone looking for a place to stay near the city. Easy to get around and private. There is a private bathroom. Can cook kitchen utensils with everything. There is good coffee. Very good. The mattress is very soft. The inside of the room is beautiful and clean. Recommended. This place is not disappointed.

Felix is an efficient, well-organised and cheerful host. His apartment is well-equipped, functional and clean.

Katherine was an absolutely wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and lightning-fast in her responses. From the moment we booked, she made us feel welcome and went out of her way to ensure our stay was smooth and stress-free. The house itself was immaculate and thoughtfully organized. Every room sparkled, the linens were fresh, and all the little details (from extra toiletries to clear check-out instructions) showed real care. It truly felt like a home away from home. This is hands-down the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would book again in a heartbeat!

The property is very functional and modernly furnished. The area is familial. Jasminka is very helpful and responds spontaneously if anything is missing. I plan to book the place again.

Despite the rainy weather, we had an exciting Pentecost weekend in Appenzell, thanks to the many activities the six children could enjoy. Looking for wood and making a fire to warm up from the bath and bake the homemade baguettes - it was never boring!
