Peaceful retreat to unplug and unwind. This off‑the‑grid experience has no electricity or flushing toilets, we do provide the essentials: running hot water, an outhouse, and propane lighting. Stay includes access to a handcrafted, wood‑fired hot. (Tub is still under construction. Landscaping and some final details are not finished.) Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet guests at arrival to show you how to use the propane lights.

Located in the back of the Hobbit, the Cave has its own private entrance under the leaf canopied patio. *Please no smoking of any kind in our home or near the door *($250 fine)* You will be greeted by a lantern hanging among the stalactites and vines and a set of stairs leading down into the cave. It's a great place to stay for a family for a week-long stay, a couple for the weekend, or a small group of fishermen ready to conquer Current River. We are about 4 miles from Montauk State Park (the head of the Current River), 11 miles to Flat Nasty Off-road Park, and 9 miles to canoe rental. The Current River can be accessed in several locations, with the closest being Montauk.

Breakfast can be included for a small fee if arranged in advance.
