We really enjoyed our stay at Black Pine Lodge. It had a cozy feel and tons of space for our family to spread out, with everything we needed already there—plenty of dishes, towels, board games, even firewood. The private little lake with kayaks was a great bonus, and we didn’t see another person the whole time, just birds and wildlife. The sauna wasn’t working during our stay, which was a bit of a letdown, but honestly, everything else more than made up for it. Robyn was super responsive, especially when a septic tank alarm went off—she and Megan had it handled quickly and kept us in the loop. The whole place was clean, well-kept, and close enough to Clear Lake for some great hikes—we’d definitely come back!

Couldn’t recommend staying at the Fiddlehead more! My husband and I loved staying here as part of our honeymoon. It was so comfortable, intimate, and peaceful. And its proximity to Riding Mountain is a total plus! 10/10 experience, and we hope to return!

We have stayed at Hanbury Place in the past when it was owned by a different couple. The suite is virtually the same but with even a few new amenities. One important aspect is that the AC for the suite is now independent of Barbara and David’s home. The AC for the suite is controllable for the suite from within the suite. Barbara and David were excellent with timely, responsive communication to all of our questions. This place is so good that you sometimes feel you should extend your stay in the area just to be in this suite. For us, it is something we check before booking our flights. We know there are frequent flights to Brandon and Winnipeg but Hanbury Place is not always available. So we like to lineup the accomodation and then the flights. Backwards we know but we like to stay in nice places. Pricing is great - value the same as Best Western Plus. Highly recommended . Wonderful view of Brandon - looking south from the outdoor balcony. Weber grill worked great,
