The thatched roof is covered with tin, but the house layout is the same as it has been for a long time. Relax in two spacious Japanese-style rooms. From the veranda, you can see rice fields, mountains, rivers, and houses scattered about... You can see the countryside village. I want to spend time in nature, I want to have a unique experience in the countryside. Recommended for families and friends. This private traditional Japanese house is owned by ‘JP’, a DIY enthusiast who self-renovated a 150-year-old traditional house, envisioning his ideal lifestyle. The standout feature of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can’t get anywhere else, while being enveloped by the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. Inside the room, there is also a traditional Japanese irori (hearth) typical of old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as sharing a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. [Konohanou] The beginning and the idea behind the launch This project progressed with the feeling that everything was falling into place like a puzzle. The house was completed with the support of many people, and it was filled with joy and excitement without any hard work. We are having an indescribably pleasant time. I would like to invite those who are considering moving to Mimasaka City, Okayama to try living here. And I hope it will be a cozy second home for everyone.
