Family-friendly holiday rentals in Milatos Beach

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

We had a very nice stay, the house was so lovely, with everything provided even a cleaning service. Restaurants and beach clubs can be reach by foot (approximately 10 min walk). There is a very nice traditional village near the house with excellent restaurants (approximately 15 min walk). But most of all thank you very much Stefani for everything you were so nice and helpful, really many thanks everything was perfect thanks to you 🙏🏼 ☺️

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

The house is beautiful (just like the photos) and the pool is awesome — it’s heated just enough to make it enjoyable all day. The space was perfect for my party of 12, plenty of space for everyone. What really makes this place stand out is Celine, who meets guests on arrival. We had a health emergency when we arrived, and Celine was just incredible — driving us to a clinic, helping us get care at the hospital when we had to go there, checking in with us about our child’s health everyday. We are eternally grateful for her!

Very high class Villa, if you are looking for quality accommodation then look no further. My family consisted of 7 adults and an 18 month old, stayed for 8 days. Everyone loved it. There is a great traditional taverna only 10 minutes walk away, a big supermarket 15 mins by car and great beach again just 15 mins by car. We were there in May, spend most of the time around the pool and firing up the fantastic BBQ!

The villa is even bigger and more beautiful than on the pictures. It is a little paradise with peacocks and own olive farm and little pond with red fish and parrots. It was just unbelievable! We celebrated our wedding with 30 people there and I could not imagine more suitable place for pictures, videos and fun! It is unforgettable, has everything you need and very private. The owner was so helpful and gave us his home made drinks as a gift. I am super happy that I found this paradise and will defo want to come back again and again!

The house was bigger and better than what we thought from the photos. Antonis is quick to respond and quickly sorted out if needed. Recommended! Short distance to most, but you should have a car.

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the North of the island. Beautiful discovery

Our stay in Agios Ioannis at Luisa’s traditional Cretan cottage was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! How to sum it up in one review… To start, Luisa was so friendly and helpful when it came to giving us directions to get to the remote village, a flexible check-in time, and TONS of local recommendations. The house itself was spectacular. The patio views of the mountains and sea were absolutely breathtaking and the garden was a private and lovely spot to spend our mornings in. Truly a sacred place, we felt very at home and loved the traditional charm and being so close to nature. We were still within a 15 minute drive to lots of great beaches, restaurants, markets, and hikes, despite being so high up in the mountains. Luisa provided us with everything we needed to have a very special getaway, even inviting us over for dinner in our last night. Cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for the perfect place to experience Crete, this is it! We cannot wait to return!

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Absolutely recommended! Penelopi and her husband are excellent hosts who welcomed us with warmth and hospitality. The Apple Apartment is beautiful, superbly equipped and very well maintained. Numerous trees and plants surround the cosy terrace. The location is very quiet and you can reach the beach of Koutsounari in a few minutes. The city of Ierapetra is only a few minutes away by car. The interior is also very well maintained and the furnishings are in the typical Greek style. We were here for the second time and would come again and again. We have received recommendations for beaches and attractions that are almost only known to locals. We are already looking forward to the next time we see Penelopi, Nikos, Sissi and Dobby again 😇😍

This was our 4th stay at Giannis' place and as always it was perfect. The property is exactly as pictured and described, so comfortable, with amazing outdoor space and everything you need (great WiFi, smart TV, great shower, plenty of towels and bed linen, etc). The outdoor space is the major selling point, with lots of different relaxing areas, plenty of shade, and a fabulous pool. And stunning views to boot! Agios Myron is a lovely little town: if you go please make sure to visit the local bar, restaurant, bakery and shop, all run by lovely people. Looking forward to returning again next year!

A lovely stay in this gorgeous flat in the centre of Heraklion. Super close to everything in the City Centre, including the Archaeological Museum and the bus to Knossos Palace. The flat itself was charming and spotless, with a lovely little outdoor patio area. And the hosts were so helpful, really went above and beyond to help us out and make sure there were plenty of recommendations for our stay. If we come back to Heraklion, we'll definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

The place was simply amazing. Quiet, clean and beautiful. A nice pool and a beautiful big garden made the experience even better. Furthermore, Kostantinos was one of the most hospitable hosts I ‘ve ever had. Always responsive and helpful no matter the time. We would always come back and we recommend the place without any hesitation!

We were pleasantly surprised by the house. Beautiful spaces both outside and inside. Highly recommended. Also for our toddler everything was provided. The pool was on the fresh side but the weeks before it wouldn't have been very hot. Small tip to the host: extra kitchen equipment is allowed (more towels, look press, pads for the table, candlesticks, ...) It was a nice holiday and we were spoiled by a local catering company that Audrey recommended to us.

Staying at Sunterra feels like being an honored guest at a Seaside Cretan Villa. My accommodation was lovely and private. Sofia left honey, treats and the best olive oil from her family estate. She checked on me often without being intrusive. I slept to the sounds of the Cretan Sea and the pool is world class. This is one of the best places to stay in the area. I highly recommend Sunterra for all types of travelers!! Thank you Sofia and Ionnis!❤️

A good base for excursions in the east of the island. We were welcomed with homemade oil and rhaki and Easter bread. A very nice gesture. For us, it was a relaxing time, everything fit.

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

I just spent a week in the Bella Vista complex, and Anna was my main contact during the whole trip. The place is even better in real life than in photos, everything is well put together, very authentic and charming. Anna was super helpful from the beginning until the end, communication was super easy. You get all good recommandation to get the most of the area, and they greet you with a nice local white wine. This is a beautiful place if you need calm, while enjoying the beauty of the region. Thank you Anna it was lovely to meet you. If I can I’ll gladly come back. Roze
