Chalet holiday rentals in Middle Smithfield Township

My wife and I enjoyed our winter anniversary stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. We enjoyed time by the fire place, free streaming services, and the Keurig(bring bottled water for coffee). The area around the cabin was very walkable in a development with two lakes. It was close to amenities like Walmart (we had to purchase wash clothes and firewood), the interstate and food. We recommend to bring your own pillow if you like them soft. The water pressure was fine in the kitchen but low in the bathroom. Jessica was easily reached to work out any questions. If you are looking for a cozy, comfortable cabin close to everything, stay with Jessica. We would stay again.

Excellent great place has plenty of room 2 of the bedroom has private bathroom and the basement with the bar and the pool to play was great. Has a fire pit outside.

My husband and I adored this place! It was in a beautiful location that was very peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. It was a nice escape from the city where we are from. It was a very friendly community and the lake was a walk away. We were fortunate enough to be during a snowstorm and it made everything mystical and cozy. We got to stay in, cook a nice meal, watch movies and see the snow fall! The place was absolutely beautiful and everything you could imagine/hope for as a cabin in the poconos. It had absolutely everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t even do the beauty and warmth of this home justice! Magda was very welcoming, attentive to our needs, and quick with her responses. We felt at home and would love to come back and enjoy another getaway in this dreamy woodsy wonder.

Great house! Arek was responsive and helped us with whatever we needed. Kids had a blast with the ping pong and the arcade. Well stocked kitchen and great living space. We loved the table and chairs on the deck overlooking the lake.

We were very comfortable and Wills place had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed the game room with our kids and appreciated the fenced yard for our dogs. There was some extreme weather (snow, ice, rain and wind) and the house was warm and well insulated! We plan to be back.

Danny is a great host. Very responsive and helpful, and he even offered to mail me something I forgot to take home. The chalet itself is a charm with all the amenities needed, 100% worth a stay. We will definitely be back when we get a chance!

Amazing people. My children and I needed a place to stay while there was an issue at home. They were extremely accommodating and even offered to move their own stay at the home to accommodate me. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great house, great people!!! There are other homes available all over the place but not rented from people like THEM !!! If you have options… pick this one.

Great location, great place. There were a few issues with cleanliness but Mike was extremely responsive and reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed—so well supplied with towels, soap, laundry detergent, and everything necessary to cook and bake. Kevin even left us some snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch! My favorite part was the coffee bar—fully stocked with different flavors to choose from. Coffee lovers will be in heaven! The playroom downstairs was a hit with the kids! My child, nieces, and nephews had a blast playing arcade games and even enjoyed the karaoke machine. The house was beautifully decorated and felt cozy and inviting. We also loved watching the wildlife—spotting deer and birds right outside the window was such a treat! The location was easy to find, with Larsen Lake just around the corner. My daughter fished for the first time and even caught a fish—she had so much fun! Kevin was a great host—he checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly and was easy to reach if we had any questions. We truly felt taken care of!

We had a nice stay at the house, even though the weather wasn’t ideal during most of our trip. Thankfully, the hot tub, jacuzzi, and game room kept us entertained and made for a cozy, relaxing experience indoors. When the weather finally cleared, we loved getting out on the lake with the kayaks and paddleboard. The area is peaceful and surrounded by nature — we saw plenty of wildlife, which was a real highlight! A special thank you to the host — my son really enjoyed and appreciated the gift you left for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay feel even more personal. Overall, the home had everything we needed to enjoy our time, rain or shine. We’d love to come back during a sunnier stretch to enjoy even more of what the area has to offer.

PoconoJo’s was an amazing house! I have very high standards and this house was an excellent place for our vacation. It was spotless, had very comfortable beds, beautiful design and layout with big windows and a huge deck to enjoy the outdoors. And the deck had great lounge and dining furniture. The amenities were great from the big things to little details - everything you needed to cook a great meal in the kitchen, laundry supplies, board games, a whole set of supplies for going to the beach on the lake (chairs, towels, cooler, etc). And the little things were there as well - extra sunglasses, reading glasses, pickleball equipment, etc. The neighborhood was so peaceful, and the home is in a great location- just minutes from downtown Jim Thorpe and outdoor activities (like biking and rafting). Mandy was a great host - we were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday and she left a generous gift bag with flowers for when we arrived. It truly was a wonderful stay and we highly recommend it!

The home was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the hot tub, sauna, and fire pit—such fun and relaxing amenities that made our stay feel extra special. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and the host was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. This location was everything and more! My guests and I had a fantastic time and everything was as described. One of the cleanest airbnbs I have stayed at, and it immediately felt like home. The hot tub, fire pit and sauna were great to use for entertaining. David was very responsive and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Great host. We were celebrating a birthday and had a blast. The house is closer to other homes than I thought but it was great to see others having a nice time and being respectful. The space held the 10 of us perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place for celebration or retreat.

The location is amazing. From the second you walk in, there is that brief pause where the view out the back windows hits you. It is an amazing view of the lake, the sunset, etc.. The loft is great for reading a book on a rainy day and having the lake as background. The house was roomy with a very nice kitchen. The game room and video games were fun to play. The boats were as described with a very nice, stable canoe. Fishing was decent catching perch, crappie and bass, some right from the dock. The bedrooms were well appointed. It was nice to have a washer/dryer available. You can walk or bike around the neighborhood. It was not far from many restaurants, pizza, ice cream, bakery, etc. Overall it was a great stay. Easy check in/check out, beautiful surroundings, good communication, and a nice house. Will be on my list of houses to come back to.

This house was great, this was honestly the cleanest airbnb I’ve ever rented. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Would absolutely rent again. I only had 2 minor issues, 1. The water in the house was not great, we always travel with bottled water so this was fine for us, but for anyone traveling here I would recommend bringing bottled water if you don’t normally do so 2. They don’t have a trash pickup service for the local area, you have to drive your trash up the street to a compactor which was honestly really easy, but they’re closed on Tuesday and Thursdays. We had a Thursday checkout, so it was annoying that we had to figure out how to get rid of trash that we couldn’t the day before, which when you travel with a dog, it’s just not a good time. Even with the 2 small issues it’s still a 5 star visit for us, we would absolutely rent again. Those issues are completely out of the airbnbs control, and the owners were quick to respond and helpful.

3rd times the charm!!! This was 3rd straight year myself & my crew(family), plus Charlie(Golden Retriever) have been to Alyson & Rob's house! Even though Mother Nature wasn't on our side all weekend, we still had an awesome weekend! Daytime down by the lake, then spending nights around the fire with a few cocktails is a great weekend! Rob & Alyson are quick with a reply to any questions! Looking forward to next year for Round 4! Highly recommend!

What a relaxing stay for our mini getaway. I will start with the responsiveness and friendliness! Great hosts. When we checked in, we saw a bday balloon (for my bf’s bday), water, a bday glass, and pretzels. Totally sweet and welcoming! House was spotless. We loved the view, fireplace, and hot tub. We cooked some great meals on the grill. We took out the paddleboat for a quick trip which was so much fun. We also enjoyed watching movies on the huge tv downstairs. It was a quick, relaxing time away. Thank you for having everything that made our time away worth it!

Great location. It's nice and very open in the back with lots of trees. Very serene. Just wish the weather was better for the pool but enjoyed the hot tub a lot. Everything in and out of the house is in the right places. Will definitely consider coming back in the fall next time.

We had a fantastic stay here. The weather certainly didn't cooperate with us, but we still had fun even when we were forced to stay in. There was plenty to do and we spent a lot of time in front of the cozy pellet stove. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Janina for sharing your home with us and being a great host.

Great Poconos stay. Has it all! Well thought out, Spacious and cozy. Game room with ping pong table and billiards table is super! The house is located right across the street from the lake and a nearby shared dock to launch the owners kayaks. The hot tub is a nice touch. But wished it was in a nicer area to enjoy the environment. The host were super responsive and were very patient with us as we got to know the property. All the amenities worked well. Would surely rent again.
