Comfortable beds (I like firm beds) with pressed linens. Nice quality towels. Thoughtful bottles of water at the nightstands for those dry, high altitude nights. Good airflow for sleeping. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the deck for Star gazing and for morning coffee. Well stocked kitchen tools for cooking. Lara was easy to communicate with and very thoughtful. Had a great weekend under the sugar pines!

Bob and Polly’s home was truly one of the best places i’ve stayed at. It was comfortable, cozy and very peaceful. They had everything that you would need for your visit. Very close to the big trees park. There are a bunch of restaurants close by and a grocery store as well. I would highly recommend this home!

A Perfect Getaway at Happy Hollow! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Happy Hollow in Murphys, California, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by the owner who had come by to make a repair. The property is well maintained and offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with essentials, making it easy to prepare meals. We especially loved the outdoor space, complete with a lovely patio and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee, yard games and evening relaxation. Location-wise, Happy Hollow is conveniently situated near local wineries and charming shops in Murphys. We took advantage of the walk ability and never got in our car through the weekend. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating.

Loved this stay for our trip to Yosemite! My family and I would leave in the mornings to go explore Yosemite which was an hour drive, not too bad! The kids LOVED the game room and gave them their own space to hang out. Definitely recommend this place!

This place is perfect for a couples get away. It was cozy. It is conveniently located to walk to all the shops. We enjoyed the cozy style of the place. I would say only downfall is the shower. Creative on how a shower fits in the bathroom, but it is absolutely tiny (which we knew and was told multiple times). The shower head is awful. I’m not sure we really were “clean.” This place would be one we would book again.

My family and I stayed here to be close to Yosemite, and it was a pleasant, just over 30-minute drive to get there. The house is easy to find in a quiet, beautiful area, close to town where there are stores and restaurants. The house was perfectly clean, and everything was as described. My family all agreed that we did not want to leave because it was a wonderful stay. We plan to come back to Yosemite, and we plan to stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Yvette's place! The house was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Yvette was also a fantastic host, always quick to respond and accommodating. We would definitely recommend their place and stay again.

We had a group of 10 staying at the house (from 3 families) and the home was excellent for that! The children ranged in age from 2-9 and they had an absolute BLAST playing in the space, running around the deck, having mornings on the screened in porch, and generally living their best lives. The parents all appreciated the porch as well, the large open kitchen, and the comfortable bedrooms. The cleanliness level was as expected for a cabin the mountains - clean but not perfectly "eat-off-the-floor" clean. If you have a number of people in the group, make sure to ask for towels upon check-in. We didn't have enough and my friends didn't tell me until check out so I wasn't able to ask for more. I'm sure Eric or Michele would have been able to help, they were responsive and helpful. The air conditioning worked really well, but I wish I would have asked for it to be lower upon arrival and would ask for that in the future. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend!

Highly recommend for families. We enjoyed our stay at Buffy & Chip's home. They were super receptive since the beginning and shared suggestions to keep kids busy in Yosemite. The communication was on-point and it felt like staying at a friend's home with the way they welcomed us virtually and ensured our stay is comfortable. The house has all the kitchen utensils/spices if you want to cook. They are subtle touches in the home that makes you feel at home, but also gives it an upscale hotel feeling. We loved the board games and kids enjoyed the toys. We saw deers in the neighborhood that both my son and our puppy were excited about. The outside deck was so beautiful to sit and chat during early mornings and evenings. It is a 50 mins drive from Tunnel View and getting in/out is really easy. We also tried local pizza places and grocery stores/ got everything we needed. We are grateful to Buffy & Chip for sharing their home with our family and taking great care of us.

I loved the place, simply amazing. Place of great tranquility, ideal for those who are looking for rest. We will definitely come back more often.

The cabin was just perfect for our stay. Close to town and lots of hiking. We walked from the cabin into Big Trees state park which is a magical place. We would definitely stay here again and hoping to come back with our paddleboards.

I dont know where to start. The house the view, EVERYTHING was AMAZING!.This was an amazing place and Monique was so amazing as well. I had some last minute changes and she responded in a timeley manner and accommodated this unexpected change. It was 18 of us and we fit perfectly! Monique gave so much information on whats around, things to do and where to go eat. She took some stress off of this trip. Not to mention her binders that she has in the living room filled with information on how things work and check out instructions list as well was extremely helpful! The kids basically lived on the bottom floor where the arcade games, pool table, ping pong table and jacuzzi are located. They had so much fun down there! Its a quiet neighborhood but everyone around is so nice. The firepit was perfect for the kids and adults. Once 10pm hit, we all headed back inside and watched netflix and played UNO. This was by far the best airbnb we have stayed at. The only negative thing I have to say

We had the best time at the cabin with our 4 kids! Beautiful quiet neighborhood with lots of space to play outside. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Our little kids loved the toys and games. Easy 30 minutes to skiing. We would definitely come back!

Easy check-in & check-out instructions. Close to shopping, White Pines Lake, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Bear Valley & Lake Alpine. Camp Connell General Store was a fun place to get afternoon ice cream. Cozy and comfortable, exceeded the photos, instantly respectfully felt at home. Loved the no shoes rule. The kitchen was enjoyable to cook in, beautiful butcher block counter top, everything you need to get meals done, and the refrigerator is plenty roomy, well kept and clean. Extra large kennel for use. Large fenced yard for ourselves & doggies to enjoy! Cute patio set to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast in the beautiful alpine setting. Safe and secure neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Blissfully pleasant stay, felt relaxed and rejuvenated upon our return home. Big Trees Village Pass was a bonus! Stayed here on our trip to Yosemite (myself, wife and our dog). Unless you’re staying right within the park, Elisha’s place is a great alternative and it was incredibly helpful to allow our dog to stay with us during our trip. The listing is accurate and I would recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit, it was without doubt one of the best places we stayed during our travels! The house is very cozy and tasteful and we loved the well equipped kitchen. Special appreciation for all the doggie things Eric got ready for us! We shall be back despite the 10+ hrs drive, it was definitely worth it!

This cabin is perfect if you’re planning to spend a lot of time up in Pinecrest, super close and much more reasonably priced than the cabins further up the hill. Amanda is a great host and was super responsive and helpful. Only thing I would caution is the stairs leading up to the second bedroom are very steep and small. If you have mobility issues definitely sleep in the downstairs bedroom!

Our family of four had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Angela’s cabin! The space is cozy, peaceful, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to unwind. Twain Harte is such a charming little town—we had a blast at the mini golf course and enjoyed some great meals at the local restaurants. Angela is a warm and welcoming host, and we truly appreciated her hospitality. We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to return—next time in the snow!

Everything was great at our stay here - the highlight was the super comfortable enormous couch and open living space so that our two families could hang out when not adventuring out of the house! We stayed with six adults and two babies and was plenty of space for all of us. The communications with the host were very easy, and everything went as expected. The house was clean and well stocked. Good views of the mountains out the window. It was a great Airbnb stay for us, would recommend if exploring the area!

The cabin was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. It was charming, so cozy, and had so many thoughtful amenities. It had everything we needed and then some. Michael was a great host — he was kind, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend The Little Red Cabin to anyone looking to stay in the area.
