Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Metropolitan Borough of Wigan

The property is beautiful and exquisite in design. Large TV’s in every room and all mod-cons. There is plenty of space for 4 adults to move around. There are also plenty of little extras in the kitchen like condiments and spices, tea, coffee etc. There is a large gas BBQ that we used and a fire pit in the centre of a large table. Fortunately one of us thought to bring wood as there wasn’t any provided and it’s such a lovely feature to have a blazing fire late at night whilst drinking & having good conversation. Maybe it’s an idea for the host Ash to either provide wood or to make note on the booking that guests are to provide their own. The pub next door is also really nice. I honestly didn’t want to leave and would say that a one night stay is not enough. My only negative would be that as check-in is not until 4pm & check-out is 10am that when you consider maybe 7 hours sleep you’re not actaully getting much time to enjoy the place especially if like us you go out for a few hours.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at this beautiful family home in Cheadle Hulme. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The house was immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything a family could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would love to come back and the kids can’t stop talking about it!

A great place to stay to visit Liverpool - really enjoyed being able to retreat out of the centre, but still be an easy bus ride away. We left the car at the house and used the bus (download the Arriva app) and it was so easy. We also went to a concert at Anfield and it’s really convenient for that. The house itself is obviously very well loved, and we really enjoyed the outdoor space for a sunny coffee outside between rain showers. Super comfortable bed and a great walk-in shower!

Richard's place has a lovely blend of feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere yet being only a 15 drive into thriving Buxton. It was warm, comfortable and a great size for a family get-together, with some amazing walks literally on your doorstep. We can all genuinely say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The location was 10/10 - next to the train station. The home had everything we needed, all the kitchen appliances and everything you’d need for a short stay. The outdoor area is so so lovely, the flowers and greenery make it very relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic!

We recently stayed for a week in this delightful cottage in Port Sunlight to see Bruce Springsteen and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property was impeccably clean, making it feel instantly welcoming and comfortable. It was clear that the hosts take great pride in maintaining a high standard. Speaking of the hosts, they were incredibly responsive and accommodating. Any questions we had were quickly addressed, which added to the ease of our stay. Their attentiveness made us feel well cared for throughout. The location is what sets this cottage apart. Nestled in the heart of Port Sunlight, a village steeped in history and charm, it provided a unique setting you won’t find anywhere else. The surroundings were peaceful and picturesque, perfect for leisurely strolls. Additionally, the location offered fantastic access to Liverpool by train, making it ideal for exploring the city’s attractions while enjoying a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful cottage and we had a fantastic time here. Poppy Cottage is extremely comfortable. We all slept great. Spacious kitchen and lovely garden to relax in. A really great property. Thank you for a great stay 😊

This was a lovely spacious house with lots of rooms to spread out socially. The pool was the most amazing feature. The host met us at the property to show us how the pool worked and to give us the lockbox code. They were friendly. They let us know we could message them if we needed anything, then they left us to our own privacy. You might need to bring a spare towel so you have one for the pool and one for the shower. Tea and coffee were provided but you need to make sure you have some milk with you. There was toilet roll, And kitchen roll. Washing up liquid. You might want to bring a box of tissues for General use and some multipurpose cleaning wet wipes. We had a lovely stay and we will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely weekend stay at the hobbit. Great facilities,lovely and clean. Fab hosts. Extra special touch of hamper gifts and flowers. Lots of useful local information. Very pet friendly. Had a nice swim in the pool. Would recommend and return. Clare Paul and Ollie

We booked last minute on Friday for our BH stay. The caravan is beautiful and private with gorgeous views over the Ribble valley. Julie and Faye were so responsive in their messages, I asked a LOT of questions haha but they were so helpful with lots of recommendations of things to do. The caravan is clean and has absolutely everything you need and more. We really loved staying there and will be booking again soon. Don’t think twice about booking! The decking facing the views was such a treat! Thanks Julie and Faye for a really lovely peaceful weekend! x

I would definitely revisit Jess’s place again. The location is conveniently situated just outside the bustling center, with several bus stops nearby that make it easy to reach the Trafford Center for shopping, as well as visit the iconic Manchester Football Stadium. I had a fantastic time relaxing in the evening by the cozy fire, which created the perfect atmosphere for our mini date night in the flat. The space was incredibly peaceful, allowing us to unwind and enjoy each other's company without distraction. Additionally, there are plenty of local shops and charming urban cafes within walking distance, making it a great spot for grabbing a coffee or exploring unique finds. Overall, the combination of comfort, accessibility, and a vibrant neighborhood makes it a wonderful place to stay.

We had a lovely few nights, children enjoyed walking and the Lego was a big winner. Everything we needed to just have sometime at a home away from home

Eddie's place was as described. A very comfortable home. Clean and had everything one may need for a home away from home. Only downsides, bed wasn't very comfortable, but adequate. More towels would have been useful. Apart from that, perfect.

A real gem of an Air BnB - only thing I’d have liked is horses in the stables I could see from my bedroom window! 🤣 Lindsay was really helpful, I was able to check in early to do a zoom meeting & it was a lovely converted barn. A great place to stay to explore this part of Lancs! Would highly recommend.

We’ve just returned from a lovely stay at Joanne’s while visiting family. The property is very comfortable and we were made very welcome, including with a very generous hamper of local produce and fresh eggs. The house is set in a very peaceful and picturesque part of the Lancashire countryside.

House was very well presented inside, decor was to a high standard while still feeling homely. Kitchen was nicely fitted with all essentials, all the beds were comfortable and would definitely stay again when next in Wigan.

During a very stressful time I.e., in between moving house, my time at Julie’s was a very welcomed break. Her home was extremely relaxing and unbelievably comfortable. What a delight it was to have a morning coffee whilst looking out onto beautiful countryside, whilst finding myself mesmerised by the sight of a Heron, or waiting to catch a glimpse of Deer. Overall, the area was delightful, with plenty of walks right on your doorstep! I nearly dropped out of the purchase of my own property it was that nice! Looking forward to booking again in the not too distant future! Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed!
