Holiday rentals with a patio in Messalonskee Lake

It was a bit more than I like to pay, I’d probably have stayed a few more days, but I understand that it’s priced according to the market, and I’m sure she’ll get plenty more clients.

This was our first stay in an Airbnb and it exceeded our expectations! The apartment was exactly as described and included everything necessary to make it the perfect “home away from home”! It is in a great location with restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store and Wilson Lake all within walking distance. Debi was a great host. She kept in contact with us before and during our stay, and quickly responded to all questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable accommodations in a heavenly setting. Spacious. Walkable neighborhood. We stayed in cooler weather and used the gas fireplace for heat. No temperature control on this unit but it can heat the whole guest house.

Super cool space, artistically decorated, and comfortable for the two of us and our senior dog. The kitchen has a great layout for a small space, and was really fun to cook in. We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful stay! Lisa is very responsive and so nice. We quickly made friends with Bella, the resident dog, and she is the sweetest pup. We were surprised with a Thanksgiving snow storm and the town lost power but there is a whole house generator, so we didn’t skip a beat or notice the power outage, which was so nice! There is a coffee pot on site (not a Keurig) and Lisa provided coffee grounds, which was amazing because we brought coffee pods. The bathroom is directly off the bedroom but there is no door, so if you need more privacy, I’d plan to tack up a blanket. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the property is peaceful. A gas station with a Dunkin is just a just a minute or two down the road and very convenient. We would definitely return.

We were in the area for a very brief last min visit to see family and because we didn't want to kennel our dog we searched airbnb and found Elizabeth's place. She has a wonderful place gem of a place, very peaceful. We awoke to the sounds of the birds singing. Her place is the most dog friendly we have been to with dog toys,treats,bags and dog bed and our dog immediately felt right at home. Elizabeth is a wonderful host ,very responsive and kind. We will stay here again should we be back to the area.

Bird's place was an absolute dream. My friend and I stayed for 2 nights to get a brief respite from our nursing jobs. The apartment is a work of art, from the large windows, to the bright colors, to the tiny details, the unusual artwork... I could go on at length! It's the kind of place that you don't even want to leave, because it is just so relaxing. The private screened-in porch was amazing at night. Bird herself was so friendly and sweet, and made sure that we knew how to get to the heron rookery (literally less than a 5min walk into her backyard!)... Damariscotta is under a 10min drive, and had some great dinner options. We took the puffin cruise out of New Harbor, and that was also less than 20mins away. So, we got to feel like we were out in the country, but weren't too far from things to do.

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

This was a gorgeous place. Belfast was a cute little town not far away. We enjoyed eating at Rollies Bar and Grilland walking around town. Hannaford grocery store was close with average prices. We had approximately 1 1/2 hour drive when we visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor which were exceptional. We enjoyed the food at Geddys and Bar Harbor Inn. We also traveled to Owls head lighthouse and hiked through Camden State Park. This was a nice location we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great, low key girls weekend at Alanna’s place. The hot tub was great for soaking in, and right off the deck. We brought our snowshoes and enjoyed snowshoeing down to the lake and around the property. The tvs in the living room felt a bit over powering, but we figured out how to put two to sleep so we could just listen to music on the third.

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

Corie was so responsive with answers to questions about wifi and check-in to fun day trips we should try while we are there. The view of the lake is the best and the swimming was wonderful. Plus loved the paddle boat. Very relaxing!!

We loved our stay (late May, 2025). The weather did not cooperate but the house was perfect. Thank you Debbi!

The area where Sofia has her Airbnb is a close favorite to Vienna where I spent many summers at my father’s camp. It is a beautiful home and very close to the water. My family came from as far away as Australia to be there for my father’s interment in the Mt. Vernon community cemetery. Sofia was gracious and allowed our extended family to stop and say hi to our grandchildren. We had three generations staying in Sofia’s beautiful and comfortable home with plenty of space to spread out. Sofia’s kitchen is a dream and has plenty of counter space to prepare a delicious Saturday afternoon meal, and we took full advantage. Sofia also let us stay on a moments notice because our VRBO rental cancelled us the morning we were all supposed to be arriving there. We appreciate Sofia’s quick response to our need. Sofia’s rental was much bigger and nicer to accommodate all of us.

I had a wonderful 2-day stay at this lake house with my friends. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described by the host. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings — it was the perfect spot for a quick getaway by the lake. The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions quickly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Thanks again for the great experience!

Had a beautiful stay in Booth Bay Harbor. Sal & Soraia’s rental was perfect for our trip. Needed something close to the main part of town - can easily walk to anything you need. Place had what you needed - ample towels, blankets, etc. Was clean and simple, no fuss which allowed you to really enjoy the surroundings of such an ideal Maine harbor town.

This place was great! Comfortable and clean and a very nice kitchen. Everything is new and spotless. Great value for a one night work trip.

Lovely, clean apartment with a terrific location! We highly recommend and hope to return soon--maybe even for Pumpkinfest again next year. Thank you especially for the extra blankets, that was such a kind gesture.

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.

Really loved this property! The unit provided a very cozy stay, and several amenities were provided. Very quite, peaceful stay and a great view of the lake from the porch! Would definitely plan to stay here again in the future!

Simply perfect! Everything in the kitchen is new, in working order, extremely well-stocked. The home is clean and comfortable with amazing fine art everywhere. And the view! We couldn't get enough of the beauty, watching the Ospreys fishing, walking the little beach. Lots of hiking close-by. Rockland has great seafood market, bakery, bookstore. The Transportation Museum is excellent.
