Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mesão Frio

For four days, we had the privilege of enjoying the hospitality and beauty of Quinta de São Pedro. From the moment we set foot on this charming property, we were greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The lush, well-kept gardens provided a quiet haven where we were able to relax and recharge. Every detail of the farmhouse reflected care and dedication, from the comfortable and elegantly decorated rooms to the delicious meals prepared with fresh and local ingredients. The walks along the pedestrian paths overlooking the Douro, safe and stable were a true sensory experience where I could enjoy the beauty of nature. We feel truly cared for and pampered by D.Sila, who is a very helpful and caring person, always willing to help and made our stay memorable , I left St. Peter's farm with happy memories and a heart full of gratitude. Thank you to the entire team.

Adriana is a fantastic host, simple but very comfortable house, well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to be used. The only least positive point (not for me), away from any commercial space.

We just have to say thank you for all the hospitality we received. A very good and pleasant week.

Margarida's house is a breathtaking place to discover the Douro Valley in a few days. The house has everything you need and if you walk a few meters into the garden, you are in the vineyards of the farmers around! The communication with Margarida has always been smooth and efficient. Douro and Portugal in general is high on my list for a future holiday and our stay at Margarida plays a big part in this. Hope to see you next time!

Very spacious house, all in good condition. Great for a group of friends because you have a game room. Stunning view of the Douro. The only thing that's only accessibility because it's a very steep ascent. Neighborhood is also very friendly. It is recommended!

This place was a beautiful oasis along the Douro River. A little out of the way, but the amenities like daily breakfast, pool, and a little trail down to a viewpoint made it worth the trek. A baby cot and high chair were provided for use for our little one too. Would definitely recommend if staying in the Douro Valley.

Nuno and Ana are very attentive and make sure nothing is missing during the guests' stay, clean and tidy space! I highly recommend it, everything 5*!

José's estate is beautiful with stunning views of the hills. The accommodation is very comfortable. And the location is great for exploring the local area. José was always very available. Breakfast is included, hearty, and delicious. I would highly recommend this rental.

The super nice complex is an oasis in the somewhat bustling environment of the city of Vila Real. Ins and their people are very friendly and extremely nice without being intrusive. Fresh bread is brought to the house every morning, great service, also the daily cleaning of the bungalow is very pleasant. The garden surfaces are very well maintained, the pool is cleaned daily, the water is super clear and refreshing. Our bungalow was more spacious than it looked in the pictures and wonderfully cool due to the thick granite walls even at 33 degrees outside temperature. The excursion tips are lovingly drawn and well thought through. All in all, four of us had a wonderful week at Ines. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Caroline’s place. The location could not have been more perfect for exploring the Douro Valley. We loved the terrace overlooking the river, incredible views. We really enjoyed meeting Manuel for our arrival at the accommodation. Their advice for visits was excellent. The apartment was impeccable, we will come back without hesitation because everything was perfect!

Spectacular setting wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. Needs a car to get to. Looks like the photos. Bring all your own food then you don’t have to leave.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

we spent 3 days at this accommodation. Since we walked through the door, I loved every detail and decoration in the house, it's a gem. The bio-pool that is a couple of minutes walk from the house, in the middle of a lot of farms and vineyards is the touch that makes it outstanding. Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The patio was nice to enjoy too with great views all around. We had a car with us and we're able to park it across the street in an off street parking space. Julio was kind to give us a quick talk about the region and a taste of his delicious port wine.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.
