“A couple of couples (and a dog) stayed at this property over a long weekend and it was a near perfect country getaway. Old charm with some modern conveniences, including well equipped kitchen and big screen TV with loads of DVDs to sift through on cold nights. Our hosts gave a good overview of the property before we arrived, including using the water pump, free reign of extra clothing that didn't go unused in the harsh terrain, and safety tips for the area that kept us at ease. The only testing aspects were getting in to the property- a bit confusing on the dirt roads and private properties (especially at night), but made enough sense following the map and guide provided. We read previous reviews about gunshots unsettling people but that's the nature of the country. Make sure to stock up on supplies before arriving as the closest town is half an hour away and you won't want to leave the property during your stay.”
Brindley Park Homestead has many stories to tell. Like a warm jacket it embraces you and allows you to breath and relax. The rooms are light and airy with great natural light that floods in through the ample windows that overlook the lovingly nurtured gardens. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated. The veranda wraps its way around the house creating a space where you can sit and enjoy the early morning bird chatter or relax with a beer in the evening still.
“Amazing accommodation; very glad we found Brindley Park. Our room was lush, with everything you need - very comfortable bed, a range of pillows to choose from, crisp linen, spacious, incredible bathroom with plenty of vanity space, spare towels. Common room and kitchen with great range of supplies, a fire for winter warmth, and TV. Everything very well kept and sparkling clean. Racquets available for the tennis court.”
Welcome to the BAERAMI PINES RETREAT - a unique, luxurious rural escape, nestled within the Wollemi National Park. This secluded getaway in the Upper Hunter Valley, has evolved around an old country Church circa 1936. www.baeramipinesretreat.com.au
“This place is amazing. The building, surrounding gardens and wilderness are a dream to behold. Most of the time it's so peaceful that you can hear the silence, and the occasional distant coal train echoing through the hills only adds to the ambience of the rural setting. There is a sense of quality and care in the way that the old church has been put together and subsequent renovations. The beds are comfortable and warm and the building is well heated. There's heaps to do in the surrounding area with local wineries just down the road and the Wollemi National Park just up the hill. Thomas is a fantastic host and provided us with heaps of information about the property and local knowledge for the area. We'll be back.”
