One-bedroom cabin, one double bed, for those who want tranquility. Parking at the main house and then a short walk downhill, then a level rocky trail to the cabin, which is located at a stream and waterfalls. There is a composting toilet, electricity and water. Wifi at main house, on deck, 5 mins walk. Wood burner in cabin, and propane stove in outside kitchen. A stand pipe (potable) or water from nearby stream (non-potable). There is a deck overlooking the stream with a picnic table.

We had a wonderful stay. I am a birdwatcher and the nearby park (Pine Hill Park) was sensational for hearing birds. We heard many warblers. They were singing their little hearts out. At the same time, the location is in walking distance to downtown. I highly recommend Roots and the VT Tap House--great salads and pizza. We enjoyed taking a walking tour to see the outdoor sculptures downtown and visited the nearby (by car) sculpture park and stone carving school. Rutland is easy to reach by train--convenient for anyone who prefers to travel by train. The room was tastefully decorated. The host was super helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this place!

Deanna was a SuperHost as if the word was created for her. I, especially, felt at home. She's delightful, caring and sweet. Deanna's family and her dog Bella are so very welcoming. Bella should be listed as SuperHost #2! Her home is peaceful & beautiful > during the early mornings, there's multitudes of birds which made my Merlin (Bird Identifier) App go wild, including uncommon and rare birds. At night from the deck, viewing white tail deer and a BIG blue heron, and fall asleep with frog murmurs. The location perfectly afforded me several options of my intended adventures (kayaking a different lake each day.) The accommodations and its location, made my daily excursions easy to prepare for each night and leave the day to simply explore and enjoy my day. Location is everything. This was my 2nd time visiting here; and this will be one of MY places to go. CYA in July Deanna!

Mountain Hideaway two bedroom condo Near PICO MTN

Very nice lower floor unit. Was warm and well appointed and the beer library was a nice touch. There were a lot of late footsteps upstairs but we sleep with a sound machine app on phone so it was no issue. Skiing was a fail due to the ice storm but William offered us late check out, which was needed and greatly appreciated. We therefore avoided hazardous road conditions and completed our journey safely. We will be back!
