The Creekside Cottage is quietly located on our 240 acre property. If you're looking for a quiet "get-away" then our quaint, studio cottage is for you. We have a queen bed. Outside, we have a fire ring with firewood, grill, outdoor seating, and beautiful view. We DO NOT have TV/internet, or WiFi, although most phones get service. There is a small kitchenette but there is NO oven/stove. We DO have a toaster oven, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot Keurig, coffee pods, and bottled water.

This unique place has a style all its own. Apart of a larger mixed use building complex this old schoolhouse has been converted into residential apartments. In 1877, African-American local architect/brick manufacturer Plimpton Ross Berry built the building. The building served as a city school for 65 years before being sold to the Hungarian Presbyterian Chuch that operated it as a recreational center until 2008. The description doesn't paint the true picture. It isbvery spacious and the back yard has a grill and a fire pit for late night smores. The fun room in the basement is a great place to play family games. They provided plenty of towels and blankets. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. I hope to stay again the next time I am in town.
