Holiday rentals with beach access in Matala beach

It’s a very nice room among the olive groves. Very quiet and lots of local restaurants just in town, a short walk away.

This was our first time in with them know, and we were somewhat sold on Stratos offering because of it being a Seaview apartment. It was right across from the beach. It was well appointed clean modern two doors opening to the balcony that faced the ocean, a wonderful Nespresso machine with coffeejust great and Stratos met us when we checked in. We got to meet him in person. It was just a great overall experience.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at the end of October. The weather played along. For a week, nothing but sunshine and blue skies. The apartment corresponds exactly to the description. Great location, good furnishings and very nice reception at check-in. We also got good tips for restaurants and shopping. All in all, a clear recommendation! We would come back.

Nice apartment, well located close to the beach and within walking distance to the old town. Some noise from the street, but not disturbing. Nice view from balcony.

Lovely little apartment right on the beachfront with direct access to the beach. Great facilities and quiet area with easy walking distance to shops, tavernas and bakery. Very helpful hosts and parking very close by for the hire car. Hot water availability seemed a bit hit and miss but in Crete temperatures this was not really a problem. Everything you need is there and waking up to the stunning beach view every morning was a joy.

Wonderful little flat directly at the beach. Golden view onto the cove, terrace to sit and relax (sunbeds would have been excellent there). Despoina was super helpful and made our stay unforgetable.

We really enjoyed the accommodation. The location is perfect, with many restaurants and cafes just a short walk away, which made dining out very convenient. The apartment itself is cozy, well-furnished, and the balcony is incredibly spacious, offering a great place to relax. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, always available to answer any questions and offer advice on local attractions. We felt very comfortable.

Niki is a lovely host, happy to help with anything and very friendly. The home is nice, cool during the hot days and in good location near the beach and supermarket. I would stay there again!

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

A big thank you to Konstantinos for our stay in Crete. The accommodation is simply great, with a swimming pool with breathtaking views of the mountains, a real asset for unforgettable moments of relaxation. The village where the house is located is also very welcoming, we highly recommend the tavern at the entrance to the village for its delicious specialties. We were also delighted by the attention of Konstantinos, who spoiled us with a fridge full of fresh fruit, delicious homemade jam jars and, of course, Raki. All of this has greatly contributed to making our stay idyllic. Thanks again for everything. We will keep a great memory of this experience.

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

Well-renovated apartment, very spacious and with every comfort available to guests. A beautiful terrace overlooking the sea where you can admire the sunset and a well-kept garden make it truly special. Vaia, Nikolas and the whole family immediately proved to be helpful and hospitable, we remember them with affection and sympathy.

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

We spent a month with our 1-year-old daughter at Dimitri's house. The house is walking distance from the sea and a great little bay. The bay is perfect for children. The mini-market and restaurants are also within walking distance. The house was clean and tidy. We lacked nothing. In the evening in bed you could always hear the sea rushing. The garden, like the house, was in impeccable condition. Our daughter particularly enjoyed spending time on the swing here. Dimitris was always easily accessible and immediately on site if there was an issue. We enjoyed our time at Dimitris' and would love to come back.

We were in Greece for the first time and it was fantastic! Cleopatra's place is beautifully located, very quiet and with an enchanting view over the sea. It was as described, very clean and there is no better host than Cleopatra. She surprised us with a welcome gift , a welcome meal and a little something for Easter. Thanks again, dear Cleopatra. We would book again anytime!

Argyri and her husband were the best hosts I've ever stayed with, and the apartment was absolutely flawless: excellent location, close to the old city, restaurants and the beach The apartment had absolutely all the facilities: there was nothing we needed and not exist in the home. Furnished modernly and with great taste, the apartment is bright and welcoming, with a large terrace where you can drink coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The hosts welcomed us with a cake, with fruits, wine and juices in the fridge, and upon departure they gave us local honey. Very friendly, they spent time with us and explained to us the best places to eat, what to visit around the city and in the city. it was everything I could have wished for and I can't wait to come back for a much longer period with my daughter. What a great spacious apartment and even better location,.. and with a panoramic sea view from the spacious balcony/terrace. What more do you need? And chose Kalamaki over Matala (just visit) if you want to relax.

We spent very nice four days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

Very much enjoyed our stay at Tasos’s apartment! It was clean and comfortable and he was very flexible with check-in/check-out as we had flight delays and arrived later then we expected, along with having to check-out at 3:30 in the morning to catch our flight. He was great at communicating, responding promptly, and also gave us a bunch of recommendations on things to do locally. Would definitely stay here again, and totally recommend to others!

We really enjoyed being guest at Dimitris place. The apartment is very cosy and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped (oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, coffee).

Thanks for the great stay. The apartment is very clean, well renovated, practically furnished, only 3 minutes from the beach, 20 minutes on the promenade to the old town and despite the location on a busy road quite quiet. Parking the rental car was also quite unproblematic. Free parking is available in the area. The balcony is a bit narrow and not so suitable for sitting outside (especially since it is also a bit noisy outside). All in all, a great stay.

The apartment is perfectly located to explore the island, you are in the center of the island, immediately on the highway (recommendation: before moving in, be sure to practice driving backwards to the mountain!!) and yet the apartment is very quiet and has a great view of the sea. Especially the small balcony directly above the sea appealed to us, even if it might be a little too hot/not shaded in summer. Here you can also quickly make friends with the 4 cats, who occasionally also drive the neighbor dog to whiteness. Those who are afraid of cats should prefer to look for another apartment with these attached specimens, cat lovers will love it. Marianna's mother is a good soul, bringing eggs from the in-house chickens as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all for us the perfect place to combine exploring the island with relaxation.
