The River House

The River House is a two bedroom cottage on the Chocolay River in Marquette, Michigan. It is adjacent to a bike path and walkway that runs through Marquette County, along the shore of Lake Superior. This cozy cottage has a deck and sun room with a view of the river, and is close to beaches, marinas, and the beautiful city of Marquette. The River House is a comfortable, peaceful retreat. Out of respect for our neighbors, we cannot accommodate snow mobiles on the property.

Built in 1974, this rustic and architecturally unique cabin is an all wood modified A-Frame nestled in the woods of the Upper Peninsula. Floor to ceiling windows and a lofted second floor allow natural light and gorgeous views of Lake Superior. Enjoy our sandstone swimming hole in the summer, or the cast iron wood stove in the winter. Located 20 minutes from Marquette and 30 minutes from Munising, our home offers a quiet place to relax and feel close to nature.

Located on a quiet street just three blocks from Downtown Marquette, this apartment is a 2-minute walk from the local COOP grocery store and local gas station and has everything you might need for a relaxing visit to the UP. The bedroom has a luxurious king that is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on any activity that brings you to the UP. Please be aware that there are also tenants directly below the space with small children.
