Houseboat holiday rentals in Markermeer

We were thrilled with the place, Lots of equipment for kitchen, hygiene and pastime! (Books, DVDS, etc.) Very cozy furniture and cozy atmosphere as described. If you have any questions, Raoul will respond quickly!

We had a lovely time on Peter's houseboat. The location is great. Only a 15 minute walk to the station and the center yet incredibly peaceful. Everything we needed was available and we enjoyed the first rays of the spring sun on the dock in front of the houseboat. The daily visit from a group of geese was quite the highlight for our little boy. Peter welcomed us when we first arrived and was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We explored the corners of Utrecht and beyond with the bike and can only recommend this lovely city. So many beautiful historic buildings, lovely canals and quaint little cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

If you're looking for a calm location and a place to truly call home for a few days this is a perfect spot! It was a quick drive to a train with ample parking to get into Amsterdam. Marie Louise was an amazing host, very helpful and kind.

Great space, great host! Hadewych was so responsive and helpful. I just loved the charm of the boat, it was a really neat experience! The bed was SO comfortable, I slept wonderfully. I do wish the couch was more comfortable though, was not conducive to getting comfy after a long day out exploring. It is an older boat so smells a bit musty and a few cobwebs in the chandelier, but you are able to open the windows and get the fresh air in which is very nice. Kitchen was well equipped, just didn't have a freezer which I wanted to store ice and ice cream etc. Had a problem with the pump but Hadewych was quick to remedy the situation. The location was superb - there was a fantastic grocery right around the corner (the produce is delicious!!), a lot of restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall a really great experience that I will cherish!

A stay with Irene and Ted is balm for the soul: great hosts, great accommodation, exciting surroundings for cyclists, canoeists, swimmers and nature lovers. We were there for the 2nd time and hopefully not the last. Once again, wonderful holidays.

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

We had a great stay at Michael’s place, it was a beautiful house boat in a very peaceful quiet location. It was a good distance to walk to the free boat that runs to Amsterdam central. There was a free bottle of Prosecco in the apartment and Michael even bought us a second and some chocolate for a miscommunication on the first night. The bed was comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely brilliant houseboat. Super nicely decorated - very modern - equipped with everything you need. It was sparkling clean and cozy. We felt completely comfortable and enjoyed the life on the houseboat very much (a great experience). The boat includes a sup, which we tried despite the season. In and around the boat is very quiet and yet you are almost in the middle of it - it is only a few meters to the actual place. Really great: the supermarket is right across the street. Anita and Diedert are great and very attentive hosts, whom we did not meet in person but the communication with them was excellent. We would love to come again.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

We had a wonderful weekend at Justin's. We felt comfortable immediately and everything was very clean. From the accommodation, you can easily make excursions to Leiden, The Hague or the sea. The place is very private and quiet. Justin always responded quickly to our messages and was flexible with check-in and check-out times. I will recommend the accommodation! 😊

The place was very clean and equipped with everything you need. You don't need to bring anything. Everything is there. Check-in was completely hassle-free because Patrick the manager was easily accessible, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time very much and would come back again. A little tip to all anglers. Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

We had a wonderful stay! It has us and our three children. We will be happy to come back. The children had fun in the water and on the boat. Communication with Patrick and Frauke worked great.

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Had a fantastic stay overall! Loved the amenities, Frank was awesome and responsive to our questions. He was also nice enough to come meet use at 2330 for our international arrival. The waterless toilet took some adjustment but the boat was great. Interior very clean, outside had a few spiderwebs. The views were fantastic, so was the spring weather. Would 100% repeat stay. Unfortunately, my family and I were only at Tamara's houseboat for 2 nights. We liked everything very much and we are considering coming again but for a few more days. The contact with Tamara was very pleasant and uncomplicated. Clear recommendation! Thank you very much Tamara

This location is highly recommended! We felt right at home and could enjoy the quiet environment, where we also received visits from a few ducks and swans. You just feel relaxed in this environment. Great for recharging, if you come from Amsterdam, for example. In the area, you have - within walking distance - nice restaurants but also shops for groceries or fun shopping. Schiphol is nearby, but the air traffic could be heard from a distance. No problems. Beds were clean and exactly right in terms of hardness/softness. Kitchen had everything, so cooking is also possible. Bathroom was also spotlessly clean with a lovely shower cabin. In short, WS11 is listed with us as a super nice stay! Next to our location we saw WS17 (also from Anne): it was bigger and also looked beautiful. Ideal for families. #recommended

Very cozy houseboat with extensive amenities, uncomplicated use of a dinghy to explore the beautiful lake area. Very nice hosts. Town with shopping and some restaurants a few km away. A wonderful short break.

It’s no surprise that this is booked solid. I’m not sure how we found two nights available but I’m so glad!!! I would live here! Spacious, comfortable, charming. Love the neighborhood!! Don’t wait to grab the availability if it’s there. You will not regret it.
