Monthly Rentals in Markdale

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is exactly what we are looking for. Very cozy and quiet, nice hikes and most of all, the amazing animals. The girls spent hours hanging out with the horses and the pigs. Our time here was very memorable. There are amazing hikes nearby, small towns like Markdale and Flasherton and both have small restaurants, shops and cafes. John and Andrea are simply great! They are extremely kind and generous with their time. Excellent advice all the time, great conversations and will offer anything to make our stay more enjoyable. John let us help with the daily shores and feeding the animals. He also gave us excellent ideas for hikes, local attractions, etc. We are really looking forward to going there again next spring or summer.

When we arrived at the Bunkie, Jennifer and Jay were busy working on a new greenhouse in the yard. Yet Jennifer stopped working to help us move our luggage to the cottage. I suggest any seniors bring a bundle buggy or collapsible wagon to get it groceries and luggage up the small incline. My husband and I have travelled the world and have stayed in many Air BnBs. Never have we seen one so well equipped. Jennifer though of everything. Even Kleenex and paper towels. The cottage is cozy and inviting with lots of brochures for the area and a great list of restaurants. The bed is a luxury. You will sleep like a baby. Wifi works great! The stunning view of farmer fields, rolling roads and hills is so calming. It must be breathtaking in the fall. We saw several deer in the woods. My flyfishing husband LOVED fishing at Allan Park with a trout stocked pond. If you want to relax, do not hesitate to chill at the Bunkie! It is the best value ever! Cheers to great hosts! 10/10 stay here! Such a cute little cabin on a beautiful property. Definitely a bonus with the animals we saw in the morning!

Great location with lots of trails within walking distance. There is a small park across the road with part of the beaver river running through and it’s such a great spot for lunch! The cabin was very clean and well equipped. It was super cosy and homely
