Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Marion County

My family had an amazing week long stay at Bri’s place. It’s beautiful and very thoughtfully crafted with all we needed and more. Sparkling clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the short walk to downtown Silverton and all its wonderful restaurants and shops. I’ve been to my fair share of AirBnbs — and safe to say this has been my favorite. The cherry on top is that Bri is a fantastic host who genuinely cares for her guests. This one is truly a gem.

Oh…my…gosh! Paradise. There are beautiful and trees birds everywhere! It is quiet private clean warm and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. There are windows that let in so much light but the blinds and landscaping keep it very private. If you cook there is EVERY implement and dish you might need! Lots of free coffee bubble bath and a lovely fireplace. You need a car to get into town but Independence Albany Corvallis are all within 10-20 minutes. It is also a GREAT deal. Highly recommend!

This is my second year staying during the holidays and it feels like our home away from home.

Well appointed house in great location. Excellent views of the lake and walking distance to stores in town. Would 100% stay there again.

Since my son and his wife and brand new baby live in Salem, I am sure we will be booking here again and again.

Sherry’s home was one of the coolest, coziest, homiest, best set up Airbnb homes I’ve ever rented. It was as if the best mom/grandmother in the world set up a family home that had magic and comfort around every corner. Nestled in a fairytale setting in the woods above a pond teaming with trout, the house itself was gorgeous and huge, full of decor and collections and beautiful art. From feeding the fish and watching them jump above the surface, to picking ripe plums in the early morning from the trees, sitting out amongst the stunning flower gardens while barbecuing, playing pool and basketball hoop shoot games upstairs, playing guitar in the living room, and watching a movie together curled up in cozy chairs; it was the perfect place for my family to gather. My son was married at Camp Colton this weekend and we rented a few airbnbs for us and out of town relatives to stay. But this wasn’t just a place to stay, it was an joyful experience. (Also super comfortable beds!)

Five of us traveled to Salem to see our amazing friend Alicia, and we stayed at Tim and Diane’s home. It was wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the master bathroom shower is luxurious. The location worked well as we were in Oregon to see the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. We also walked throughout downtown Salem and bought books at the Book Bin. We loved The Yard with its food trucks just down the street. The best part was the fluffy black and white cat that passed briefly through the yard to say hello.

Great home away from home. very nice view and quiet place to stay at. 5/5

I'm already thinking this is a place I'd book again

Lisa and Stefanie’s place is very centrally located. I was able to Uber to/from the restaurants and coffee shops in Downtown Dundee and to do winetasting at De Ponte and Chehalem in 10-12 minutes. I stayed in the back house located upstairs. It was quiet, clean and spacious. The back deck also provided a nice view, particularly at sunset.

Jessica is an amazing host and this is the best getaway vacation spot. It was everything we hoped for and more! Cozy home that was well equipped for the weather and a spacious hot tub for the ultimate relaxation. The shower has limited space, but it got the job done and we really didn’t mind. I’m 5’9” and my boyfriend is 6’3” and we still were able to shower well. Would absolutely love to stay here again! Thank you Jessica for opening your home to allow guests, like ourselves, to make memories that will last a lifetime. Baylee and Zara were such a joy and an absolute treasure! Can’t wait for our next visit!

We stayed at the Stayton Carriage house over the weekend with our dogs. The house was located at a great spot very close to 7-Eleven store ( right next door ) , great restaurants , gas stations and grocery stores. The check in instructions was clear. The house had every amenities required for a weekend stay including TV ( which was not listed in the amenities). Priscilla is a wonderful host. Her attention to detail is impeccable. She had a personalized letter for me when I checked in with a warm welcome , clear instructions and great recommendations about local things to do and to eat. The location was clean and spacious enough for me and my husband. The bathroom was clean , lots of towels. We slept comfortably. She has a beautiful backyard too. We would stay at this place again. Thank you Priscilla for taking care of us.

Perfect space for a 2-day conference - simple check-in, centrally located, easy to walk downtown, plenty of parking, etc. Even though it was above McMenamins it was quiet (and handy to have a restaurant right downstairs). I love old buildings so it was really neat to see the inside of the space, I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Salem.

Loved this space! Private, quiet, surrounded by nature! 15 minutes from two small towns, 20-30 from bigger ones; an hour to the beach or the mountains. The space was as described except be aware there is a fairly steep set of stairs up to the living space. It wasn’t a problem for me, but I could see it being for some. Additionally, Deb was a great host, friendly, helpful, flexible. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others!

Mary is such a kind and welcoming host! We felt right at home! She was flexible with our checkout needs.

We had a great stay at the riverside apartment. It’s a great value for a true 2-bedroom apartment with easy access to parking right outside the front door. The location is super convenient to downtown Salem restaurants and shops. We were especially impressed with patio overlooking the stream and the beautiful trees you can see through the oversized sliding glass patio door.

Brandon’s place was amazing! When I arrived, check in was super easy and everything was well organized. There was a welcome sign right next to the door under the tv with all the necessary information for check out and how to use the television and wifi. We loved borrowing the space and would stay again if we were ever that way.

This was a good home base while moving my son into Willamette. Apartment was clean, conveniently located, comfortable beds, and good heating for a cold winter stay. Appreciated the off street parking and sound of the creek. As noted in the listing this is an older building -- it's not a fancy new place but it had everything we needed, the neighbors were friendly, and the neighborhood quiet. Amanda was a great host -- flexible, responsive, and eager to help.

This property was nice and clean. Me and my guest felt right at home. Very open with just the right amount of space. Enjoyed the walk through the neighborhood. Peace and Quiet😊

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo! The bubbling brook provided a restful atmosphere, especially while enjoying a meal in the dining room or coffee in the balcony. Beddings and linens were plush and smelled clean. Our host was friendly and proactive, reaching out with instructions regarding check in and check out, and kept in touch with us. We also appreciated having a designated off street and covered parking spot. We highly recommend this condo and host. And would love to stay here again the next time we’re in the Salem/ Portland area!
