My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

2nd Retreat

This bright and quaint historical little house is one block from the downtown district. This 2nd retreat has a charming enclosed front porch for sitting, a quiet serene space to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine, to read a book or just to sit and relax. We are in walking distance to a great Ice cream shop , the local winery, a quaint coffee shop, Mango's for margarita's and end the evening with the local movie theater. Enjoy the small town dynamic.

Latitudes Tavern Apartment

A premium spot in downtown Alpena. The center of downtown is two blocks down the road at 2nd Avenue and Chisholm St. We are located in a premium spot to find dinner, entertainment, shopping and most importantly nightlife. The space is located above a bar. So...it can be a little noisy for some. But if you are ok with some noise or don't normally turn in until later in the evening, we are for you. Camper stays on property. No smoking in camper. May cook inside camper (have pots and pans). Showers can be taken in my home. Very clean. (Never any complaints on cleanliness. There's a grill for your use. Bedding is always washed for cleanliness. Pergola with 4 swings. Large fire pit. Many outside games for everyone. Check pictures on this site. Thank you!!!

Our stay at this property was fantastic! It was exactly as described and super clean, making us feel right at home. With plenty of space for our family, we loved being just 5 minutes from the marina and found our favorite swimming spot on the lake. The kids had a blast fishing and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit at night. Morning walks were enjoyable, and the nearby general store had everything we needed. Gale was incredibly responsive and accommodating. If you’re looking for a true Northern Michigan experience, this is the place!"

This is my group's second time staying at Beth's place. Every other year me, my dad, and a couple friends drive up to Michigan to fish. The house is situated perfect for us. The dock makes it easy for us to keep the boats right there at the back door so we don't have to worry about anyone messing with our stuff. They've installed outlets out back, making it easy on us to charge the batteries. They even have a spot across the road to keep our trailers. Beth is always quick to respond. She and her husband and great hosts, and we never have to worry about anything. Everything is exactly as described which is why we knew booking this place would suit all of our needs. If you're wanting a great place to stay on long lake, this is it.

We were personally welcomed at the drive by Jon & Shellie and from check-in to check-out, we felt like home! Beautiful gardens, birds were chirping and it was so peaceful of a place to be. Inside was cozy and everything we needed was thought of. Shellie introduced us to her chickens, the goldfish swimming in the pond, Trillium the Bunny, along with her dogs Roxie & Dixie much to my daughter's delight! What a cool little place. Thank you!

Jame's cabin exudes care, charm and coziness with wall hung quotes and artwork throughout. Special thought given to a true functioning kitchen which is much appreciated after a long drive. I was a solo traveler but would be lovely for grandchildren and children to reconnect with nature unplugged. A firecircle stands rstocked and eady to keep you warm whilst searching for shooting stars. Worth returning to share with family.

We had a great time relaxing at the cozy cabin. The space matches the name! The description was clear and I feel everything was true to the description. The bathroom is a little tight however that was mentioned in the description so was not a surprise when we arrived. We always got quick responses when we messaged. We enjoyed that there was a fire pit, with chairs already there. An out door eating space and grill along with indoor space. They had also had extra blankets, movies and games which was very nice!
