Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Manitoulin Island

We had a great stay here. The house was beautiful and had everything me could need and more during our stay. I loved the beautiful and private location and breathtaking scenery of the lake from the house. The host were very welcoming and responsive to our needs. I would definitely recommends this place in Manitoulin island and we would plan to come back here soon.

Quiet, comfortable, modern furnishings, beautiful backyard, close to the beach & walking trails, spacious kitchen. Highly recommend for personal or business travelers!

We were on Manitoulin Island for a Celebration of Life Ceremony, and while we flew in from Victoria, BC, we had friends and relatives driving to the Island from all over Ontario and most stayed at the nearby Hotel. Inessa's place was perfect for hosting the family and friends after the ceremony--plenty of room for everyone, a nice fire pit in the front yard for the evening, plenty of seating in the main living room and adjoining dining area. Everyone was impressed with the place, and asked for more information. I spent several summers on the Island as a child at my grandfather's cottage on Lake Mindemoya, and at my great uncles' farms nearby. Even though the area had changed a bit since I was last there, it felt very much like home to me, and even more so having a fantastic place to stay for a few days after and to explore the Island. Inessa responded to all my questions in a timely manner, was always friendly and accommodating--couldn't ask for a better place!

Christopher’s place is absolutely beautiful. Overlooking Mindemoya Lake, it’s nestled among tall trees and a serene landscape. The entire family are great hosts—very warm and helpful. Aside from the regular hosting essentials, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Greg was especially kind in teaching us how to start a fire for the fire pit, even providing some of their own firewood and fire-starting equipment. They also shared some excellent local recommendations and Sandra gifted our group a lovely children’s book written by Christopher’s wife, which was a thoughtful touch for the kids. One of the unexpected highlights was how incredible the place was at night—perfect for stargazing and astral photography. With minimal light pollution and a clear view of the sky, captured some unforgettable night shots and spent hours just watching the stars. I highly recommend their place as the first one to check if you’re planning a trip to Manitoulin Island.

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was cozy, clean, and perfectly located for exploring Manitoulin. Every morning and evening, we walked our dogs in the beautiful field out back. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals, and Irene was a kind, responsive, and thoughtful host. This was the perfect home base for our hikes and adventures around the island. My friend and I (and our dogs!) would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great few days at Marilee's place. Ideal location, easy to explore Little Current area and wider Manitoulin Island. Everything was as described and matched the photos. Plenty of space and garden was nice to sit out and relax...and talk to the chickens! Marilee was very easy to communicate with and was always responsive.

I booked Diane's Airbnb for a crew of my workers. It is a beautiful place, with a lot of space for multiple people, many different accommodations, and overall a clean, neat, and organized space. This was located near our work site which was ideal, but Diane made the experience so much better. She is very kind, responsive, and willing to help which was a huge benefit since I wasn't physically there with my crew. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay with Diane and communicate with her about any questions, comments, or concerns you may have because she is beyond willing to help you and make you feel more comfortable. I rate this experience 11/10!!

Serenity on the lake was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. Hillary was very quick to respond and the home and property was clean and stunning! You have all you will need there. We made some beautiful memories with our family and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to rent this place for the weekend!

Great spot to stay to explore Manitoulin. The location is very central so it's quick to drive to the top spots. Fire pit and beach access at the location is a great perk. Nano is a very friendly and responsive host, helped us with some small issues during our stay.

Frank’s place was the perfect lakeside retreat for us as a couple. The home was spacious, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable—ideal for relaxing and unwinding together. Frank was a wonderful host—welcoming and always available if we needed anything. The location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views. We would absolutely love to return!

Rene and Sandra were great hosts. They accommodated us very well with lots of parking for our trucks and trailers and access to the lake for fishing. They went above and beyond on our check out date which helped us out greatly. They always responded very quickly and check in was a breeze. Beautiful views as well. Would recommend to anybody.

Between the cabin that i had, and the northern landscape around the surrounding Thessalon area its probable one of the nicest places ive stayed. The lake is warm and crystal clear. Robin and her staff were the perfect hosts. If you stay at Northern Skies, i would also suggest you take the drive along 129 to Champleau. You will not want to miss that. Our stay was beautiful, peaceful and restful. We arrived later than expected and Cheryl was gracefully awaiting us the moment we drove in. The cabin was perfectly described, yet there was even more charm and beauty in person. We slept soundly after our amazing sauna sessions each day. The sauna was in excellent condition and prepared for fair use, nothing missing and nice and hot! The area is very calm and quiet and night skies are filled with stars! Our young baby was very comfortable with the accommodations and we felt very safe and well looked after. The place was very clean and cozy with more space than it initially seemed. We will certainly look into visiting again in the future if we return to the area. Thanks a lot Cheryl!

We had an amazing stay here. I had a late check in but Barbara was very communicative and flexible and gave very easy and clear instructions on how to get there and how to find our cabin. The chain itself was very clean, organized and everything was working perfectly. Would definitely come back again.

We just got home from a wonderful week stay at Courtney’s place on MacGregor Bay. We can’t say enough great things about this place. Having a whole island to ourselves with a trail to hike, paddle boards to use, and all the amenities of home was exactly what we needed! The off grid living with a warm outdoor shower was a highlight…and the constant breeze off the bay will be missed! Our family of four all slept very comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and a salad spinner! 😉 We feel very lucky to have found this gem and hope to return again soon. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Beth was a delight. Gave us a great tour when we arrived and offered us coffee in the am. Beautiful property. We only stayed one night but would come back in warmer weather ❤️

My friends and I did a girls cottage retreat over the weekend. This property was the perfect place! Everything was beautiful including the crystal clear water. We were also able to bring are dogs who also enjoyed the cottage.
