Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Malpais

The studio was nice and we enjoyed staying there. The host was very kind and responsive. We recommend this studio especially for those who are looking for a quiet accomondation in Santa Teresa. A car (4x4) is an advantage as the road up there is quite steep and can be slippery in the rain. However, it is also possible to visit the center on foot (approx 10-15 minutes walk).

We had an amazing stay at Irinas apartment! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Short walk to shops and the beach!

Loved this airbnb and Eden was an amazing host!! The location is super ideal - central, walkable to everything, but tucked away enough that you don’t hear much noise from the street. As a solo traveler, i felt safe and secure in the airbnb, air conditioning was strong and the place was clean! Linens + beach towels provided which was nice and i could work from the airbnb with no problem. Highly recommend!

If you find availability to book this slice of paradise, don’t hesitate. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 month and Betty is literally the best host you could ask for. She will always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is more comfortable and accommodate your needs. I was working remotely here and was worried about the wifi and Betty went ahead and upgraded the internet to the highest speed to accommodate me and it was perfect for work. Betty’s place is perfectly located in the best part of Santa Teresa, just far enough from the dust and noise of the strip to have peace. It’s a short 7 min walk to the beach and the walk back is uphill (ATV recommended) but is worth the spectacular view. The place is very clean and well designed, with fans provided. One of my favourite things to do was watch the sunrise from the property’s helicopter landing pad in the morning. There is a worker onsite that helps with cleaning and made the place feel secure. This place is a hidden gem.

This apartment was amazing. Windows the length of the apartment looking out into nature was dreamy! Also have the apartment cleaned on a regular basis was nice, it’s nearly impossible to not drag sand in.

We had a wonderful time at Scott and Natalia’s place in beautiful Santa Teresa! We stayed at 3 places in Costa Rica, and this was by far our favorite. The location was absolutely perfect and walking distance to everything, including the beach. It was very well maintained and they even suggested an amazing excursion. We rented ATVs and went to Montezuma and a ton of small towns on our own, with their suggestion. It was our favorite day of the trip! Lots of monkey and wildlife by the pool, and beautiful beach across the road. Do not hesitate to book this 100000/10 Airbnb. Great price too! Thanks again Scott and Natalia! We will be back with friends we hope.

Una excelente opción a un razonable precio. El alojamiento es fiel a su descripción y fotografías. Cuenta con lo necesario para un estadía cómoda. Adema está ubicado en un punto ideal (cerca de buena gastronomía y de la playa) pero lejos del ruido. Cuentan con parqueo y la piscina es más grande de lo que parece. No tuvimos problema con nada. Rodrigo fue super amable y atento en todo momento.

Our stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place. The house is tucked away in the jungle, surrounded by trees, palms, lush vegetation, and various animals. You can relax inside with air conditioning while enjoying the view through the large windows, or unwind on the spacious terrace and take in the natural surroundings. The interior was exactly as described - clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything listed. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Communication was excellent: quick responses, clear instructions, and even help guiding us to the house, which isn’t the easiest to find. There’s a beach nearby, and even the heart of the tourist area is within easy reach. You’ll definitely need a real 4x4 vehicle, as reaching the property requires crossing a stream several times - which can become more challenging during the rainy season. We would definitely choose this place again if we return to Costa Rica.

This place’s location alone is a winner! So close to the beach (it’s literally across the street) and good restaurants. We were put in contact with Julieta who was wonderful in helping us book things in the area, like surfing and Tortuga island tours. Place was cozy and convenient. The only thing is it is an outdoor kitchen, so make sure all food items are put away properly. We saw some raccoons trying to get food haha! Besides that if you want to be close to the beach, this is your spot!

Great place

We had a great stay! Rotem was very responsive and helpful throughout our visit. The home was clean, spacious, and well-equipped — the large kitchen had everything we needed to cook, with plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. The location was great, within walking distance to restaurants and shops, which made it very convenient. The pool area was also clean and a perfect spot to relax. The staff on-site were friendly and welcoming. The only thing to note is that while the property is located right across from the beach, the direct access point was flooded due to rain and there was some nearby construction. However, it was only about a 100-meter walk down the road to reach an accessible beach entry, so not a major issue, just something to be aware of. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

La villa es demasiado hermosa, equipada con todo lo necesario por si vas a cocinar, todo el entorno de la villa nos encantó. El administrador muy atento a cualquier consulta, excelente servicio y amable. La playa que está a unos 50 mts de la villa, es hermosa, la disfrutamos de día y atardecer. Muy cerca de otras playas para conocer.

Manzanillo is a gem of a spot, very easy to walk to local food and small grocer, beach is a short walk away. Elias was very helpful with any issues we needed sorting out. I would definitely go back and stay again!

We’ve had a great time at the Jungle House and with Caroline herself. It’s exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. However the thing that stood out the most was that Caroline went above and beyond and gave us the best experience possible. Not only did she answer every single question I had quickly and gave us local recommendations but also let us check out late when there wasn’t anyone else staying there after us. I would highly recommend the Jungle House to everyone!

It was a wonderful stay at Pachamamas. Hannah spread the PuraVida-Vibe right from the beginning and was a very charming host. She was very helpful with booking some activities, which all were perfectly organized, and left no wish unfulfilled. Also our children (5 and 8) had a great time in the stunning garden areal. There was a very laid back atmosphere and we enjoyed our little house with the outside shower and dining area very much. We have to recommend a yoga class with Sophie as well. If you stay at this nice place be sure to have a 4/4 drive to get to some of the beaches or short way to Montezuma and the Cabo Blanco national park.
