Nicky was an amazing host. The cabin was beautiful and so rustic. The vibe was just what we needed for an overnight getaway away. Nicky was very helpful and responsive.

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful property that is secluded but also has lots of space. The fire pit and hot tub were great for spending time outside, and it's super close to the national park.

Very nice home with plenty of space, with beautiful surroundings. Close enough to town to be able to retrieve anything needed for the stay, but far enough to feel like you are in the middle of the woods. Would stay here again.

The chalet was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing and we had everything we needed. Great place to relax or enjoy nearby activities. 100% recommend! Was not overly price and well worth what we payed for a relaxing weekend which was exactly what we was looking for. Michael was simple, kind, and gave directions that was easy to find the location of our destination. We will be back again. Thank you so much for a nice affordable well worth getaway!

This was a great stay that was right next to Hawks Nest State Park and within 10 minutes or so of the northern part of New River Gorge National Park. We prefer to cook our own food when we travel and this place had a nice little kitchen and charcoal grill. I would maybe suggest adding either an extra table inside or a picnic table outdoors just to have a bit more surface space for food prep but otherwise no complaints. The hot tub was very relaxing after lots of hiking. Hoping to return to the area and stay here again next year.

Kevin’s place was perfect for a weekend get away at the New River Gorge. His house is in perfect proximity to both Summerville lake and the national park. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We loved this place! It was close to everything but really felt secluded, so peaceful and quiet and with the lovely sound of the creek outside! Loved soaking in the hot tub watching the fireflies everywhere! The cabin was so clean, the bed very comfortable, and they thought of everything- extra toothbrushes, toiletries, teas and snacks...anything you miht need. Host very responsive too! We would definitely stay here again.

We were a last-minute booking (about 45 minutes before we showed up), as we rented elsewhere 15 minutes away. That home was very misrepresented, smelled, had a broken AC, and was just awful. Then we rented this place for the same money and it was SO MUCH NICER. Beautiful, new home. My wife loved the bear theme throughout the home. We used the deck and firepit nightly. The basement and 1st floor bedrooms were larger than expected. The place was spotless and exactly what we wanted. Like any rental, there are a few downsides. Internet is Starlink; the one in our unit was useless (0.5 - 1Mbps down/upload), but the unsecured Starlink from Unit 4 worked well outside, marginal inside. We weren't there for the internet, so no biggie. Kitchen is small and needs more cupboard space (and was lacking some essentials, like knives). We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to this part of HM. Very close to two BM trailheads and easy ride to Devil or RH.

We loved our stay here to explore Summersville Lake! Sarah put a lot of attention and detail to the decor in the space. We loved the extra amenities like the hot tub and washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again!

We drove in from Texas to visit with family from the Sissonville/Nitro area! We enjoyed just sitting on the porch & catching up. We did take a day to sight see at Hawks Nest & Bridge! The cabin had everything we needed for our little family get together! And the lighting bugs at night was something neat! Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

Ankoni’s place was lovely to stay at. Everything was well thought out and the place was extremely accommodating! I had mentioned that we were bringing our toddler and dog with us, and there were toddler toys and a dog bed laid out upon our arrival! Ankoni thought of all our needs and made all the little things easily accessible, which we greatly appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future!

What can I say? This cabin was a warm welcoming delight, a modern gem! The amenities were top-notch. Everything was so clean and spotless, the floors were shiny and beautiful, mattresses were comfy, the bedding was clean and soft and didn’t smell like bleach as in most other places. This cabin is secluded and quiet, the nights under the stars were amazing. It was great to wind down after some sightseeing and hiking during the day and just plop down by the warm fireplace and relax. Got to meet Matt while he was working on another cabin and we chatted for a bit. Great host. Oh and thanks for the goodies basket. Definitely will stay here if we come this way again.

Love, love, love. The house and view of the river is the best. We e joyed everything about it…especially the screened in, wrap around porch. It was such a relaxing visit. We were in town for a family reunion. We got to float down the river and swim. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ellen for sharing your home with us!

"Almost Heaven" lived up to its name! We would leave a 10-star rating if we could. Gary and Julie were excellent hosts, communicated extremely well and always available if we needed anything. The place is adorable and was stocked with many items to make our stay comfortable -- they even provided us breakfast foods, coffee and snacks to get us going! It was so much fun to stay in this historic cabin right across from the River Gorge National Park and a block from one of the best hiking trails in the park. We also loved the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking. Private and beautiful location and still just short 10 minute drive from restaurants, grocery stores and other other "city" needs. Absolutely one of THE BEST Airbnbs we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend "Almost Heaven".

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

Our stay at Andi's place was a good experience. The pool was nice, the big open floor plan was fun, and the bar was pretty cool. We would stay here again.

Location made traveling to lots of New River Gorge (NRG) sites easy and we made the trip to Charleston in just >1hr to spend a day. The food, shops, and charm of Fayetteville as a "just down the road" destination was a huge perk. Great balance of privacy and proximity

Great location for exploring New River Gorge National Park. Loved the covered porch in the evening as we had lots of rain when we visited!

Kellie made our wedding anniversary and my daughter’s 16th birthday very special with personal gifts/cards. She went above and beyond to make the place perfect for our stay and made sure that we had a barbecue available to celebrate, just as we had requested. The place is as advertised and close to major attractions. Highly recommended for someone looking to visit New River Gorge.

I've stayed at a lot of air BNBs and this was one of my favorite! Incredibly spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and it was great to have a private outside area. Seemed like a friendly and safe small town and was pretty quiet even during the weekend. We had a very relaxing stay and wish we could have stayed longer!
