Merle’s place was truly a home away from home! We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay — the space was beautifully warm, thoughtfully prepared, and had absolutely everything we needed. It’s clear that Merle went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. A moment that really touched us: one of our friends started her cycle unexpectedly, and to our surprise, there were sanitary items already placed in the bathroom. That level of consideration speaks volumes — it’s the little things that show true hospitality. Merle, thank you for your kindness and attention to detail. We’ll definitely be recommending your place to others!

Our stay was absolutely unforgettable! Each morning, we were greeted by kudu, wildebeest, warthogs, impala, and bushbuck right outside our doorstep—it felt like stepping into a wildlife documentary. At night, the haunting calls of lions in the distance added a sense of wild magic to the experience. The host's guidebook was incredibly helpful and led us to some truly amazing adventures—the highlight being our unforgettable visit to Kruger National Park with Kruger Pride Safaris. This place offers unbeatable value for money and an experience that’s both relaxing and exhilarating. Without a doubt, one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Twas soo good. The place was super clean and cozy, and it had everything we needed. It’s an easy drive to some great restaurants and the activities around the area. Our host was friendly and quick to reply anytime we had a question. Favorite part was getting to have some animals visit us while swimming in the pool—Highly recommend and would totally come back again.

I had a fantastic stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and communication with the host was excellent throughout. The host was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by offering great suggestions for local activities. The cleaning staff also did a great job, keeping everything spotless. Family loved the house! Surrounded in nature and saw all sorts of animals. House itself was very spacious and clean. Lot of things to be excited about! Also much affordable option and only 20-30 mins from Krueger park!

Beautiful place, looks better than the pictures. Close to the supermarket, water park and other places. We had a battery issue with the car and the Field security assisted us free of charge as Lylanie is a client. It’s a pity we got sick on the first night and didn’t get to enjoy the place as much but would definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay at Elephant Cottage. The privacy, peacefulness, and beauty of the area was memorable. We also enjoyed the cottage, which was well designed and had everything one needed. The bed was super comfy, and we slept very well. Excellent overall, good value for money, highly recommended.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, guter Standard und sehr sauber. Super Badezimmer und eine Küche die alles bietet. Der Außenbereich ist sehr gut mit einem kleinen Pool und Grill. Das besondere an der Unterkunft ist die Lage im Marloth Park, welcher direkt an den Krüger Nationalpark angrenzt. Es ist toll gegen Abend einen Spaziergang an der Grenze zum Krüger zu machen. Von dort sieht man über den Crocodile River in den Nationalpark und sieht direkt viele Tiere wie Elefanten. Zudem ist es ein sehr tolles Erlebnis, dass im Marloth Park Wildtiere frei unterwegs sind. So kamen bei uns immer wieder Anthilopen, Affen oder Pumbas vorbei. Das Highlight war eine ganze Zebra Herde welche mit uns einen Abend auf der Terrasse verbracht hat. Vom Marloth Park aus ist man dann auch schnell an den Gates zum Krüger Nationalpark, welcher einfach toll ist. Allgemein war die Unterkunft super um sich wohlzufühlen und gleichzeitig die Tierwelt Südafrikas zu erleben.

Very nice, stylish and cozy room. There is everything you need for a vacation, including delicious compliments of the owners. We had impala antelope coming to our window. I can say that everything matches the description, even the animals at the entrance of the house.

Jo-Ann is such a wonderful host, she made it easy for us to find the place and provided clear instructions on her communication. The place is beautiful and was clean, private and the surprise she planned for my partner was top notch. I will definitely come back next time and stay for more days, we felt at home. So thank you Jo-Ann for making our stay so enjoyable.

Wir waren rundum glücklich mit der Unterkunft! Mariette und ihr Mann Barry sind unglaublich angenehme und herzliche Gastgeber, bei denen man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Ein echtes Highlight war die Nähe zur Natur – direkt vor der Tür konnten wir zahlreiche Tiere beobachten. Es war ein fantastisches Erlebnis, das uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Wir können den Aufenthalt nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Great place to stay at.

Our stay was fantastic, and we've very much enjoyed ourselves with all the amenities available at the house. We felt very safe during our stay and the place was clean. The kitchen setup covered all of our necessities and the location of the house is perfectly situated, within the reach of all the basic checkpoints around the park (store, restaurants and rangers office)! We would love to come back!
