Cottage holiday rentals in Madison County

This place was fantastic! We stayed here with our 4 daughters. They loved feeding and talking to Hershey the donkey every day. The home was clean and SO WELL SUPPLIED! We have stayed in so many AirBnBs where we had to rewash the silverware for every meal--not here! There were cooking utensils and silverware and plates and cups and bowls galore as well as tinfoil and parchment (so helpful for leftovers and baking). The owner also quickly supplied firewood when she realized it had been overlooked. We loved sitting in the front room playing games, reading, doing puzzles and enjoying the woodstove. The home is at the end of a mountain road and we hiked on the mountain and took walks up and down the road. The only constructive criticism I would have is that the key instructions are confusing. I would just say, there is no key, just a keypad with a code to get in and out. Thank you again for lovely quiet place for us to get away and celebrate New Years!

We are thruhiking and wanted a spot to stay over in hot springs. The location was perfect. Walkable to everything and the house was lovely. Great backyard for relaxing!

We stayed here when we came to the area to celebrate our wedding and this was a great, quiet place that was close to downtown Weaverville. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the mornings drinking our coffee and listening to the birds. Jay was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had.

My guests were impressed with my selection! It is good to know this option exists so close to where I live! It is a cute and homey little cottage.

Great place to stay, will be staying here again. Beautiful location and great yard for dogs. Perfect place for a peaceful get away!

absolutely amazing place we loved the house and the yard. the hot tub was very clean the pond across the road was frozen over the kids enjoyed walking on the ice. we will definitely stay again.

The house looks just like the photos, but being there was even better! The view is absolutely amazing, and the location is super convenient — close to stores, gas stations, and trails. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back and enjoy the beautiful nature again. The host was awesome — super kind, understanding, and helped us with everything we needed. Highly recommend!

This was a perfect place for myself, husband, and our dog for a month get away. We also had two friends that visited for a few days and it was comfortable for all of us. Very clean, everything worked well, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and two wonderful porches. We were blessed with good weather so we sat on the downstair’s patio in the mornings to enjoy the sun and birds and on the large upstair’s porch in the afternoons. Close to town, three grocery stores, an excellent bakery and lots of good restaurants. Couldn’t ask for more! Close enough to easily visit Asheville, The Biltmore and the bordering cute small towns. John and Patricia were excellent hosts, we only had to contact them once for a minor problem with the TV, no fault of theirs. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Weaverville or Asheville.

Groovy, clean little cottage on a creek. We adored the decor, full kitchen, and relaxing on the back porch! Hosts were communicative and friendly and ensured a no stress stay. Would absolutely stay again 🌸

I highly recommend Renata's farm house, situated on six plus areas of beautiful land, if you want to experience a slice of paradise on the Ivy River. I stayed three weeks while searching for a house to buy. The 1915 farmhouse is compact, space is used efficiently and decorated for comfort. I saw turkeys on the river and an osprey fishing for supper. The location was perfect. I popped into Mars Hill for produce at TJ's market, coffee at Camden's or a sweet or bread at High Ridge Bakery. Easy peasy to drive to Weaverville and Asheville. I also highly recommend taking advantage of Renata's offer to prepare a meal for you. She's a personal chef and the shrimp tacos were beyond expectations. She brings everything to you. It was a delightful taste experience. Renata lives on the hill above the farmhouse and is readily available if you have questions. She makes the experience real, as if you're company or family there for a visit. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

The cottage was everything I could have wanted for a peaceful trip to reset after the holidays. It was cozy, whimsically decorated, and had lots of great poetry available to read. The features I used the most were the tub and the electric tea kettle. The sound of water from the stream in the front of the home was so soothing to listen to. It was also very easy to get groceries at the Ingles up the road and cook all of my meals in the kitchen. The home had everything I needed for a calm, easy getaway. The homemade blackberry jam was to die for - I actually went out and bought more croissants not once, but twice to eat it all! I loved every little detail, and can't wait to return :)

This was our second stay at this absolute gem of a cabin. It is walkable to hiking trails and town, has a beautiful deck overlooking a stream that you can also see and hear from the cozy couch. Throw in the comfy bed, grill and well appointed kitchen, and you have heaven in Hot Springs. We hope to stay there again!

Loved Frog Holler! Right off the Appalachian trail, had a little stream that was so peaceful to listen to on the back porch. Too much rain this weekend to sit in the backyard, but it looked wonderful! Only takes a few minutes to walk into Hot Springs and enjoy the town. Also quick walk up to the Artisun coffee shop on the highway - highly recommend the walk, and you can take the trail up the backside to make is shorter. The place was great, had everything I needed, and a fully stocked kitchen. Will definitely look to come back!

Brian was incredibly responsive to our inquiries. He even left a light on for us when we advised we’d be checking in after dark. Our adventurous pups loved the long driveway, because it allowed them to “explore” the woods without having to worry about the critters that typically come with an off-trail hike. The cottage was just as described and in a great location - central to the parkway, Weaverville and just a short drive from Asheville. The next time we head down to the area, we hope to stay here again!

I can’t say ENOUGH! This stay in Hot Springs, our first post Helene, was more than any of us hoped for. It was so healing to see this vibrant community smiling and joyfully sharing their town with visitors who love them all so much. This house is absolutely perfect. Plenty of space including a lovely family room with a huge couch we could all snuggle up on and chat or watch a show. The beds are cozy, the linens are soft, the kitchen is well equipped, the hot water is plentiful, the front yard is so beautiful with lots in bloom, the back yard is lush with a magnificent fire pit and seating by the creek, the brewery is 30 feet away, the pizza place is a 2 minute walk, the breakfast dinner is a 6 minute walk, the tubs at the Hot Springs resort are better than ever (and a two minute drive-we should have walked🤣)……this place is absolutely perfect! Also of note, our hosts were very easy and quick to communicate with. I never write reviews, but HAD to with this gem 🥰

It was such a pleasure to be here. Feels so peaceful and private, far away from civilization, but yet is so accessible and easy to find. It's so clean, dreamy, lovely, and restorative. I look forward to staying again soon.

It was a wonderful place to get away from everything. A small town close by offers some great coffee and local eats. Be sure to check out paint rock, Hot Springs Spa, and Lovers Leap. Would return for sure!

Jayne sent me timely updates with very specific directions on how to check in. The only time i saw her was as i pulled up, she was tending the garden, which is beautiful. The cottage is very charming and my dogs were totally comfortable the whole time. Its 5 minutes from town and just a couple minutes from the highway to Asheville which is less than 15 minutes away. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to cook a great meal. Super comfy couch and bed. There are many different ways to regulate the temperature you want in both spaces with ceiling fans to keep the air well circulated. The back yard is fenced and spacious and the dogs liked it as well. I would highly recomend it and Jayne and Stan are good folks. I look forward to staying there again in the future. I give the whole experience 6 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I had an amazing stay! The cottage was so cozy and peaceful. The location was perfect near a small town and not far from downtown Asheville. Definitely an Airbnb I’d love to come back to!
