Self Catering This 300 yr old Thatched Cottage has been restored and has some of the original features like the original fire place , original floors and old style furniture, we tried to maintain as much of an authentic old time atmosphere as possible whilst also providing for comfort and pleasure. Some of the rooms are small . The road outside the cottage can be busy at times you will need to take care going out of the driveway the traffic mirror will help you out .

This is a gorgeous little hut built in the top corner of a hay barn, but has the feeling of a comfortable treehouse. It is located in a peaceful rural setting overlooking a field. It is quite near other buildings in which we live, but it is totally private. Access requires climbing two short flights of sturdy steps which bring you on to its balcony Kilkenny city is a handy 20 minute drive away, but a car is needed as there is no public transport. A perfect place to retreat to.

I was welcomed by Joe who gave a lot of good information and recommendations about what to see and where to eat. Both Joe and Niamh were really friendly. The room I stayed in was beautiful with a fantastic view over the river and city. The bed was firm but very comfortable. Breakfast was really lovely. I can highly recommend staying with Niamh and Joe

Where do we start…this was our first stop in Ireland after a long trip from Toronto and Agnes went above and beyond to make us feel right at home, her hospitality is outstanding, the house is immaculate inside and out!! We felt like a King and Queen with the service of an awesome Irish breakfast!! The knowledge Agnes shares about the area is incredible, we wished we could have stayed longer but we know we will definitely be back!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience you certainly deserve 10stars if we could give you them!! This place should be on everyone’s bucket list! Glenn and Mo

Oonagh was a great host, so welcoming and accommodating, and her B&B was just lovely. Very homely, spacious, clean, inviting. Only a very short drive into town too, not too long a walk. We only stayed one night but could have happily stayed more. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

In our many years of experience with Airbnb, we only once took a room instead of the entire accommodation. This was our SECOND experience, and IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER... WHAT A LUXURY and WHAT A PLEASURE Debbie and Joe are as hosts...!!! Warm, friendly, helpful, FLEXIBLE with the check-in schedule, while prudent and well-located. The room with a private bathroom is PERFECT. Small, but more than enough and comfortable for 2 people. Bright, with all the necessary supplies. The location: UNBEATABLE. Without hesitation, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a stay in the lovely city of Kilkenny.
