Family-friendly holiday rentals in Madawaska Valley

My friends and I had a great time at Elias' cottage! The cottage was so comfortable with plenty of seating room, enough bedrooms (with super comfy beds!), and a great screened in porch. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather, but we spent the majority of our time in the covered hot tub which was amazing. We look forward to coming back soon!!

Jeremy's home in the Kawartha's was absolutely perfect for our 2 families and young children. From the moment we arrived we felt so at home! The property is stunning, nestled amongst the trees, though wide open and bright- there is generous deck space, a lawn for kids to run around on (as well as a zip line, swing and hammocks!!) and a sweet meandering path that leads to a quiet lake and dock. The home itself has a comfortable, spacious and relaxed vibe. It's mid century, art filled and modern. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for creative cooking, and the amenities in general are generous- from board games to water sports, sauna and hot tub. While there we had rainy days and colder days, but there was always so much to do and explore that every day was rich. This home would also be a perfect winter getaway.. maybe one day!

Andi and Hayden are great hosts and the space was perfect for us (3 couples). The farmhouse is beautifully decorated, with a fantastic kitchen and comfy beds, and we enjoyed the hot tub and all of the little extras, like robes and breakfast fixings. Thanks again!

It was a great location for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, couldn’t do any water activities due to the weather, but would love to visit again and do everything . Also, the availability of hot tub made the stay more fun.

Our stay at Suzanne’s place was perfect. We’d love to make it an annual tradition for our family. We’ve stayed on Boshkung Lake previously but being on the little side inlet was even more peaceful as there isn’t as much boat traffic. The house is as described and we really appreciated the baby gear so we didn’t have to pack as much!

Loved the cottage very clean, there was cleaning supplies and small things that they keep stocked with was very nice to be able to grab from when we ran out instead of going to town. The hot tub was great very clean, and the screened in porch out front was a great touch aswell.

Amazing view! Great place to escape and still be connected! Perfect place for a little getaway! Will 100% be recommending this spot to friends and Family!

This was my second stay at Stephen’s place and it did not disappoint yet again! This was the perfect cabin getaway, complete with a very clean, beautiful and cozy cottage paired with so much to enjoy outside and on the water. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay and how great of a host Stephen always is!! Would definitely recommend, and I look forward to another visit in the future!

This cottage was one of the best we have gone to! This cottage is a jewel on Boshkung Lake. We enjoyed the views, sitting on the dock and having dinner in the screened in deck. We hope to return again soon, thank you Bruce and family for a fantastic weekend!

Great rustic place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. Reminded me of my childhood family cottage. It was private and had everything one needs in a semi offgrid location. Bill was prompt, accommodating and friendly. Bring more firewood than you'll think you'll need! Thanks again, Bill!

My husband and I stayed at Alan and Rosalie’s place for our honeymoon with our pup Phoebe. We had the best time ever. The photos don’t even do this place justice. It really is a little slice of heaven. So private and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed going on walks through the various trails that are well maintained and relaxing on the dock. We will most definitely be back to visit! Alan and Rosalie were also very welcoming and responsive!

We had the most amazing time and made a lifetime of memories!

This is Airbnb concept working at its best. Ken’s place was a home away from home. Not just a mere house to generate extra income. Great care was put in for someone to feel good staying there ( night lights meticulously placed around the house for navigating oneself in the dark - just an example) . We found the house in immaculate cleanliness ( thank you Jackie). Ken was always present via messages to address us, suggest activities, provide general logistics of area. The house is a gem, with lots of windows and light, large kitchen with anything you might need, and very comfortable beds with premium mattresses. Thank you Ken, we’d love to be back soon 🙏🏻

This was my family's 2nd time staying at Kathy's cottage because we love it! A true cottage experience, situated right on the lake in a quiet and rather private part of the bay and surrounded by some great trails. Perfect for a couples getaway or small family. Kathy is very easy to communicate with and instructions are bang on. We will be back!

It is a peaceful loft. We rented this place as we were going to the calabogie Motorsport park for concerts. It is only 13 km from the park. Amanda was responsive immediately to all my questions. Anthony was very helpful for giving us recommendations. They are wonderful hosts.

The Suite in The Bush was a lovely and comfortable place to stay. Close to the town where we could shop around and eat. Coming back to Aileen’s Suite in The Bush to rest felt like home. Thank you!

Our 3 night stay in June at Catherine’s mini cottage was so peaceful and quiet it was hard to believe. I think our timing had something to do with it (mid week, June) but also the location on the little peninsula meant we had some privacy. The place is small but has everything you need. Bed was comfy, good towels. Catherine was very helpful when we needed good internet for a zoom meeting - it worked out great. Catherine responded quickly, gave us a little tour when we arrived and had lots of local info in a binder. Catherine was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay at her mini cabin.

The cottage was immaculately clean (and I'm fussy !). Well organized, tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the lake.... The sound of the waves lapping up on the beach while sleeping is really lovely! Would love to go back.

Tavia as a great host - greeted us so warmly and so well that we were genuinely impressed by her and her place. This is like a hidden Gem of a place. May not be upto everyone's liking - as you should remember what you signed up for - some alone time in the woods - and the place serves this purpose so well! This was the first of a kind experience for both me and my wife. She was so accommodating our requests and helped us with suggesting some brilliant places and fun activities. Her place is highly recommended.

This was our second trip to Lindsey’s cottage and as expected, it was another great weekend away!! This cottage is so warm & cozy, in a lovely location, and was stocked up with everything you could ever need! Lindsey is also a great host who communicates effectively, is very accommodating, and is so kind. We always feel right at home as soon as we get here!☺️

This is our third time staying at the Cedars and it was amazing as always! Such a cozy, peaceful spot for our family of 4. Loved the wintry landscape and warmth of the cottage. Beautiful views of the lake. Beds were super cozy and the bathrooms were pristine! Only a 20 minute drive to Sir Sam’s ski resort, which we ventured to as well. The outdoor sauna was a fantastic addition, especially after a day of skiing! Ashley is a fantastic host who is always available and responsive if needed. We wish we had stayed longer! Thanks Ashley and Peter! We will be back for sure! :)

Don's place is magical. we truly didn't want to leave. The location is great, close to what you may need to get but more importantly, it was peaceful, serene and private. The most beautiful decorated cabin. We will definitely be booking again!
