Timms Cottage

Timms Cottage is a rustic farm cottage and allows you to relax with an indoor outdoor space giving you breath taking views of Mt Dobson, Fox Peak and our farm. The cottage is situated behind the family homestead within our garden on our farm, providing a peaceful and private setting. We are a working farm. We are 10 km from Fairlie which has some great eating places, 3 km from Lake Opuha and half an hour from Mount Dobson and Fox Peak. Tekapo and Geraldine are only half an hour away.

A perfect getaway for couples or a solo retreat, this warm and cosy modern cottage is set on a peaceful, fully fenced rear section across from the lakefront.  Wander out to the lakefront walking track for panoramic views of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains. Walk just a few minutes more to reach the Church of the Good Shepherd and sheepdog memorial, then over the Tekapo footbridge (perfect location for photos!) to the village centre eateries & shops.

Visit Tekapo or Mt Cook then relax in a private wood-fired hot tub under the stars of the dark sky reserve! A peaceful spot to recharge, it’s just 50 mins to Mt Cook/Tekapo or 2.5 hrs to Queenstown.

The Brown House

The Brown House was tragically lost in 2020 in New Zealand’s worst fire disaster that devastated the village Award winning architect Lisa Webb who designed the first Brown House was enlisted to design the rebuild. The results are just as stunning This four-bedroom retreat accommodates up to ten guests. Each bedroom offers breathtaking views.
