The space
Make the first footprints on the beach in the morning and the last ones at night at Playa Jaibas. You only have to walk past the pool and across the lawn in front of this fully staffed modern home to reach the Pacific Ocean—though it will take a few more steps to explore its private 900-acre setting. Follow your whims to quiet lagoons, forested hiking trails, or the towns of Careyes and Chamela.
After breakfast prepared by your chef, bring a book out to a lounger by the villa’s infinity pool or let the kids bury you in the sand on the beach. If you’ve spent the day walking the 2-mile beach or hiking the property, you deserve an al-fresco dinner, a drink from the indoor wet bar, and a little relaxing in front of the cable TV.
Spend time with friends and family in an open-concept, palapa-covered outdoor living and dining area, hidden away by palm fronds, or in the indoor living and dining rooms, where details like vaulted brick ceilings warm up the space. Though chef and housekeeping service are included in your vacation rental, you can also use the fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar if you want to snack between meals.
Playa Jaibas has 3 bedrooms with king beds, including a honeymoon-worthy master suite with its own balcony facing the ocean, and 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds each. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms except one of the king bedrooms, which shares access to a hall bathroom.
A holiday at this villa gives you the luxury of staying on the property to appreciate the wild beauty of the coast of Mexico—or exploring nearby towns. It’s an 8-minute drive from the villa to the beach at Punta Perula, and the art galleries and polo grounds of Careyes make a great day trip.
