The space
Fishing charters arrive by morning and sunsets glow by evening in the views from this hilltop villa with Mediterranean flair in Ocotal. Columns and wrought-iron decorations frame vistas of lush hillside running down to the ocean, where rocks and islands dot the waves. Venture out to snorkel and sail, take a horseback ride or tour of the jungle canopy, and finish the day 5 minutes away in Coco.

Keep an eye out for boats pulling up to the beach below from a terrace with an infinity pool, hot tub, and plenty of seating in the shade. Open the windows in the wellness center and let the breezes flow like a breath through your yoga practice, and heat up the barbecue for an alfresco lunch or dinner. Finish the day with a family movie night in the media room.

A slide-away glass wall divides the terrace from an open-concept great room whose wicker and palm-print furniture have a breezy, beachy feel. It’s next to a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and ocean views. There are 7 bedrooms in the main house and 1 in a separate casita that’s perfect for a couple seeking privacy.

Drive 5 minutes or hike 15 minutes to the beach closest to the villa, where you can explore on your own, or if you've paid for the all-inclusive package, relax at a private beach club for which the membership is included. It’s also 5 minutes to the town of Coco, where you’ll find shopping, dining, and a lively nightlife.
