The space
Contemporary cool meets postcard-perfect beach views at Baan Asan. This ultra-modern Koh Samui vacation rental, modeled on a stylish urban condo, is set on quiet Taling Ngam Beach and offers panoramas from nearly every one of its sleek rooms. A full staff, an array of amenities and five bedrooms provide luxury accommodations for up to fourteen guests.

During your holiday at Baan Asan, a private chef, concierge, villa manager and security guard will ensure your comfort. It’s easy to enjoy the tropical sunshine in the infinity pool, hot tub and outdoor living and dining areas, and to get out on the water thanks to direct beach access and provided kayaks. Inside, the villa’s features range from fitness and games rooms to a library, Wi-Fi and a wine selection.

Nearly wall-to-wall sliding glass doors connect the outdoor terrace with the indoor great room for seamless indoor-outdoor living. A floating staircase is a dramatic focal point, though the mid-century-inspired living and dining areas hold their own in style. The villa’s chef is happy to prepare meals, but if you’d like to try your hand, the concierge can help arrange cooking classes in the professional-grade fully equipped kitchen.

The villa has one honeymoon-worthy master suite with a double bed, lounge area and kitchenette and two guest bedrooms, each with a double bed. There are two guest suites suitable for a small family; each has a main bedroom with a double bed and a separate children’s room with two bunk beds. All five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Baan Asan’s location on Taling Ngam Beach puts you in a particularly beautiful part of the island, where the the views are gorgeous and the pace is a bit slower. For a livelier scene, however, Nikki Beach and several restaurants are only 5 to 10 minutes away by car, and the towns of Lamai and Nathon can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes.
